Ignition Problem?

Ok, I tried to search the site for possible related thread's to my car's problem but had no luck, so maybe someone can help. On my 97 GST, When I drive normally, not hammering on the pedal, the car runs fine, but if I bring it to boost, it stutters, almost like it's maybe missfiring? It's like a jerking, and it's not like it's totally losing power, if I keep on the gas it will stutter and jerk, but it will still pull. I replaced the plugs to Denso Iridiums, gapped at.032. I think it could be the wires, but I'm not sure? Has anyone else had any problems similar to mine? Right now I'm running the stock turbo, with stock boost levels. And I recently replaced the entire exhaust system with a ApexI N1 Extreme sysytem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Ignition Problem?

It's usually spark plugs, plug wires, way too rich, or a boost leak.

Re: Ignition Problem?

Maybe a stupid question, but how would I be able to tell if it's a boost leak, Me and Terre Martin just put a ACT clucth in my car and I'm pretty sure all my vaccum lines are tight. Thanks for the help.

Re: Ignition Problem?

The same thing happened to my 92 Talon TSI AWD. It stutter and feels like miss fire when ever the car gets warm or during acceleration. I end up changing my spark plugs, spark wires, coil pack and even a TPS sensor. This still haven't solve the stuttering problem. I soon to find out that it was my ECU. Well what you can probably do is borrow someone's ECU chip to test it out. You should feel the difference right away. Try this before spending any money on other parts replacement.
