Getting a new turbo setup and is looking for a shop to do it
hey there guys, when I return from Michigan this summer, I'm planning on getting a big ol' turbo, the fuel system, and someone to tune it. Since I'm very inexperienced with this myself, i rather have a shop do this. Can anybody recommend some shops to me? I see a lot of speed shops but I don't know who can install what. I think I can get all the parts myself, a t3/t4 50 trim, e-manifold, gaskets, pump, injectors, and a tuning device, wheter it'd be a afc2 or eventually a dsmlink w/an eprom ecu that needs to be socketed. Anywho, someone please point me into the right direction.
thanks

Pretty much everyone says to have Shane tune your car...
Elite or QPR could both easily get your turbo setup.
What ever happened to that front mount you were selling? I pmed you about it.

Correct.
Any of the sponsors on this site can help you out. Elite, QPR, LSE, JET's Customs possibly.

I hope your joking! I would never let him touch my car but I also have my reasons.
If you want your car done right, take it to Shane at Elite. It will cost you more but it will be done right the first time.

QPR for install of everything, then go through your break in then shane at Elite. That is generally the opinion for people on these sites.

Since when do you need to break in a turbo?? Just take it to Elite. Drop it off, then come pick up a fully tuned car later. One stop shopping! They can get really good prices on turbo's too, check them out before you buy.

With the variety of site sponsors here, I don't follow how you can "generalize" people's opinions in regards to installation. I will agree with you though that it is safe to generalize people's opinions in regards to having their cars tuned at Elite.

It must be one of them 'der Bullseye or SSAutochrome beasts; they need to be broken in since they are so powerful.

Re: Getting a new turbo setup and is looking for a shop to do it
What ever happened to Shindley being "Dr DSM"?? I never liked the guy after the cop that pulled me over told me he was neighbors with him and talked to him a lot, as they were arresting me for driving... look it up, i guess its illegal to drive on streets doing the speed limit.

Motorcycle cop pulls up next to me on UNI and says "Want to race?"
Me- "I don't think you would stand a chance."
Cop says "probably not" and drives off.

Agreed. Short of installing a new headgasket which you may not have the tools or garagespace to do, everything else is relatively simple. Have Lightning do up an ECU for you, and then take it to Elite to tune. Half the fun of modding cars is installing the parts.

Not really. When I have the funds to allow myself to do so, I am never touching a wrench ever again. It gets old after a while but I guess with me not trusting anyone else's work, I would probably end up doing it myself.
