How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
I live fairly close to Rock Falls here in WI(about 1hr). How many of you go on a regular basis there? I'm not talking about the guy who shows up once every 2 or 3 years. Everytime i go on an import day, i seem to get disgusted because of the lack of DSM showup and instead looking at the junk that pulls in. I favor going on the domestic days because of the crappy turnouts on import day. For some of that crap, i'd rather watch paint dry. I also go on test and tune days. It's $69 but you get to go as many times as you want, ideal for tuning. I hope to see some of you faster guys over here next summer.
With all the mods i'm doing over the winter, i hope to be there more than usual. We usually make 2 trips to Union Grove too down by Milwaukee. Nicer variety cuz you get the guys from Chicago there.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
I'm usually there on the Sunday Fundays so I can run some domestics.
I'd go to an Import Day if it's on a Sunday but they don't prep shit.
I'm thinking of finally hitting up CF this year though. Everyone says it's way better.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
Yeah those 'el cheapos won't spend a little to prep it on a day that they generate alot of revenue from. Fun Days are good. I love my DSM but in my blood, i still love to watch the domestics.
Hope to see ALOT of you guys next summer. No sense building 600whp cars if you're not gonna take them to the track. You're sure not gonna use that power on the x94 freeways.
C'mon over....

Fuck the rock. Haven't been there in 2 years now and if I build another car I wouldn't take it there.
I would take the drive to one of the IA tracks first.

Is it because you live in Iowa now and the Rock is more than a two hours drive.

Where is this Rock Falls place you speak of? I don't think many people on here have been there yet.

Nope, I love just west of the Cities in MN. The Rock is much closer. The IA tracks are just better in my opinin.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
The Rock is about 10 minutes from Eau Claire. Cedar has to be somewhat of a hike for you isn't it? I just checked mapquest and Cedar Falls would be a 6hour drive for me so that would be stupid. I'd rather go to Union Grove. I can't say much for the owner of Rock but at least its close by. I heard there is a track in the cities somewhere but it's only 1/8 mile and that doesn't really turn me on. All i'm saying is that i wish i would see more variety out there no matter where it is. Kinda pointless to build a 500 and 600hp car just for bragging rights. I have seen Brian out at the track though a few times.
If you're a Honda lover then Import Day at the Rock is for you. I can only laugh at those that gut out just about anything that is held on my a few screws and then stacked in a pile. Some of the piles get pretty big.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
We usually go over 3 or 4 times a year, usually on fun days. Sometimes I hit up an import day just to be one of the fastest cars there Cedar Falls is about an extra hour for us, but the track is prepped a lot better, so it makes it worth while.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
I'm planning on a lot more track days this year, but I'm only going to RF if the IA tracks got something else going on. RF sucks. Fun days are the only ones I'd be going to, the import days are a waste of time and money.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
Cedar Falls is about a 3 hour drive from the cities, and Tri State Raceway is about 3.5 hours.
I do hope to have a car ready by next summer and Tri State will probably be the only track I will visit.

Isn't Tri-State where you ran your best times on the T25?

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
yup, but I just liked the fact that on any given day you can get as many runs as your car and take. Like Cher's cousins supra that kepts going and going and going till finally his clutch was just enough to get him back to the cities. 30+ runs that day. I did the same thing with my 2G down there before I had the front mount. 25 runs and the clutch got me just enough to get it back to the cities.

I go to Rock Falls any time my cars running. Hopefully I can make it down to the Iowa tracks a few times this year as well.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
I'm planning on going down to Tristate or Cedar falls. BIR hasn't been too bad for the Wed night racing though. Although, I only made it there a couple of times I still had my best pass there. Hopefully, can improve on that this spring in IA.

Re: How many of you guys show up at Rock Falls on a regular basis?
The traction seems to be the same at the sandpit unless you go on a test and tune day. Then they actually prep the slip and slide.
Rockfalls is a decent track, but when the stealth is finished, i'll probably try to hit up the Iowa tracks.
