Well folks, I turned 21 today. Ergo, due to the gravity of this milestone, I decided to finally buy a turbo DSM :woowoo: I got a 91 Talon AWD that is in great shape (body & interior wise) off of DSMtrader.com. In ture DSM fashion, the car is not running (tranny problems) however it came with a boat-load of spare parts and some fun stuff like a 3" DP and an Archer racing turbo manifold... Anyhoo here is a picture: and happy 21st ( )

FX Designs front bumper. The car looks pretty clean though, gratz!
When you need the manifold welded up, let me or Mike know

Once properly braced they will not crack. They are a better performance upgrade than either the 2G or EVOIII exhaust manifolds. Not to mention it already came on the car at no additional cost (besides the purchase price) to him; my guess is that it has already been rewelded/braced since it is used and many years old already.

Tom needs to be lowered into a nice sound proof booth.
Atleast the bumper is painted to match Thats about all that is has going for the kit though. Just grab a nice stock talon bumper and that thing will be sweet.
It is nice and clean.

I got nothing against the bumper, but I am a true ricer at heart.
The blue brake calipers are ugly as sin though.

Thanks for the replys, guys.
I forgot to mention that I also came with the entire 4 bolt rear assembly (everything down to even have tires on the hubs lol) I havent decided if i'm even going to bother keeping the front bumper cover, I rather like the look of stock. And yes the calipers are the ugly (I smell TCE Wilwoods in the future)... Anyhoo I have ambitious plans for the car (including building up a 4GCS motor over winter) but not a lot of time right now with school starting At any rate as soon as I get my digital camera back ill be building a website to show the progress of the whole project (not that the project ever has an ending point if you know what I mean :dsmrule: ) Anyhoo next summer will be uber.

Uhh, the factory downpipe is braced, it is a good idea over the long run for any manifold to not have to support the weight of the turbo and downpipe by itself. Obviously a tubular manifold is not going to have the same strength as a cast piece, especially with the kind of heat cycles it experiences.
There was never anything wrong with their manifolds, only the people that installed them. They do give a performance increase, and there probably even better designs by now. Cast is always going to be more durable though.
