Any idea where to find heavy duty FWD axles? Something that will handle slicks and a hard launch? How much do they usually cost? I am thinking about moving the laser into a project that was not considered when buying the car. Thanks in advance.

I got some nicely built custom lifetime warranty FWD axles from www.raxles.com Marty was great to deal with and at $320 or so the price wasn't too bad.

I got the pair for $320. These were not equal length, I saw no need to spend the extra money since I already had the LSD. I don't remember how much more equal-length would have been. I never bothered to care about a HP rating, but they were holding my 20G just fine.

That is what John is looking for. Some axles that will not snap with a hard launch and slicks.

Shorter slicks shouldn't be a problem. 28" tall slicks will if you've got the power. One of the 9-second FWD guys is trying to solve this problem as we speak.
