So, i was changing my oil, yadda yadda yadda, i stripped the shit out of my oil filter screwer on-er thing. The piece where the oil filter goes on, now an appropriate seal cannot be achieved, so i am wondering what is necessary and how hard it is to fix this.
Not knowing what you drive, I will say this. If the housing and/or threads can not be repaired you will need to replace the oil filter housing. It's not that hard to do.
If you need one, I have a new one in the box for sale (fits the 4g63). It was bolted to my engine during assembly and taken back off for another version that allows for an oil cooler. Oil was never run through it.

Don't feel so bad. There's a guy I used to work with who was told to spray down his brake rotors with WD-40 because they were rusty. The guy believed him.
Long story short, he couldn't stop his car, and he ended up replacing the rotors and pads.
First off its some 1g, who knows what its been threw the last 10 years. Second its fievel, not exactly sae sertified or anything. And dsms have been turning normal people into backyard hacks with crapy tools for a while now.
