Alright so tell me if I'm kinda messed up for thinking so, but you know what kinda bothers me? somone who drives a fast car, and doesn't go fast...
I was driving on 94 north near maple grove and this really slick looking 3000gt VR4, bright red, they were in the far right lane doing like 65 in a 70.
seriously, am I wrong for thinking so?

Honestly, yes, you are wrong. Speed limits are there for a reason, more or less. In this case you enjoy risking your driving record more than others.

I agree fully with Matt D.
in my perspective having a nice 'sports' car and going over the speed limit even by 2 mph = citation.
and in any case, in any car, its not worth risking your driving record

Don't take this personally:
The sole reason owners with sports cars don't drive fast all the time is because most of them aren't kids. Im saying this, because back in the day, I use to do really stupid shit in cars, now people say I drive like and old lady. After time, you learn appreciation for things like nice cars, and cars with power. Majority of the 3s, supra, 300zx, etc... owners don't whip in and out of traffic quickly just for the fact they the cars are easily spotted, and are ticketed accordinly. Not saying Im not up for 'playing around' but the folks that drive 24/7 weaving in and out of traffic annoy the piss out of me. Im glad you brought it up, now I realize how annoying I was when I was younger.
but heck, thats just my $.02.

I usually drive 5mph over at most on the highway, as close to the speed limit as possible on city streets. Wait till you get your first ticket and your insurance goes up... You won't be so inclined to go over the speed limit anymore.
In 1999 when I got my first ticket I was doing 80 in a 70 on I35 down by Faribault. I haven't even dared traveling at anything greater than the flow of traffic since.

I have only had my liscence for about 2 months now, and I just go 5 over. No more. Im trying to go the limit, but then for some odd reason it feels like im going slower than I really am. Im working on it though.

I feel ya. I keep up with the flow, and at times its more like 15mph over on 94 E/W. 55 mph in Minneapolis? how fucking gay. the posted speed should be higher. I do hate people with fast or slow cars that drive slow in the passing lane, but I live in the fast lane. I speed alot and have alot of tickets in the past 14 years, I can't stop, but I do know if you drive like me you will have alot of tickets to.

I still speed even after getting a few tickets. Aslong as people aren't blocking the flow of traffic I really don't care how slow they drive. When I speed I am very respectful of others. I very rarely cut people off or swerve in and out of lanes. The only time I tailgate is when people are in the far left lane holding up traffic. I don't care what the speed limit is, no matter how fast I am traveling if there is someone behind me in the left lane traveling faster than I am I will always slow down and get in the right lane long enough for them to pass. BTW, 7 years of driving and no accidents. One last thing, traveling at or just above the speed limit on some highways in this area is downright scary; people are swerving to get around you since traffic is flowing 15mph above the limit.
