I just got my car insurance and it jumped from $117 a month to $250 because my accident and running a red light ticket just got added to my insurance. I was wondering how much you guys pay a month, how old you are, your driving record, and car. I am trying to find a cheaper place to get insured.
Here's my info.:
98 Eclipse GS, 18 years old, 1 speeding ticket, 1 accident, 1 running a red light, $250 a month

98 Eclipse GSX, 26 years old, no tickets ever, no accidents ever and it's about $120/mo for full coverage.
But I have it in storage right now, so it's $25/6 mo.

How do you pay so much for liability?
I have liability on my 1990 Laser turbo and I only pay $360 for 6 months.
I'm 20 and have 3 speeding tickets all in the past year.

I pay $900 every 6 mo for a frikkin 91 N/A Laser for liability ONLY. I had one place quote me at $2200 every 6!!! what the hell???
I do, however, have 2 wreckless driving charges involving accidents (i.e. going in the ditch, nothing serious). Never been pulled over tho... go fig.
I am currently 20 years old and cant wait until one of these dropps off in November. 4Las90, who is your insurance provider?

$80 a month full coverage for a 23 year old male with no violations of any sort. My insurance thinks my car resides in a small rural town and mine is number 4 on a list of cars where my dad is the primary user.
In actuality I live in Minneapolis and I'm the primary driver. This is one way to beat the system.

98 eclipse, i think 1-2 speeding tickets (plus two on probation - probably dropped by now) no accidents, no runnig red lights ;-) (got pulled over for not stopping on stop signs about 7 times - no tickets though ) full coverage about $280/month - farmers ins. geico and progressive quoted me on $360 a month - and they were supposed to be cheap. Bull!
