I just got my car insurance and it jumped from $117 a month to $250 because my accident and running a red light ticket just got added to my insurance. I was wondering how much you guys pay a month, how old you are, your driving record, and car. I am trying to find a cheaper place to get insured.

Here's my info.:

98 Eclipse GS, 18 years old, 1 speeding ticket, 1 accident, 1 running a red light, $250 a month

Jana 06-22-2004 09:14 PM

98 Eclipse GSX, 26 years old, no tickets ever, no accidents ever and it's about $120/mo for full coverage.

But I have it in storage right now, so it's $25/6 mo.

250/month liability- progressive. I got a speedin ticket, an accident and some other moving violation ...psh fuckin insurance

How do you pay so much for liability?

I have liability on my 1990 Laser turbo and I only pay $360 for 6 months.
I'm 20 and have 3 speeding tickets all in the past year.

94 Talon TSI AWD on storage insurance
97 A4 2.8Q $1000 deductable full
97 GMC Savanna liability

$1192 every six months. 27 with no tickets accidents within three years.

I pay $900 every 6 mo for a frikkin 91 N/A Laser for liability ONLY. I had one place quote me at $2200 every 6!!! what the hell???

I do, however, have 2 wreckless driving charges involving accidents (i.e. going in the ditch, nothing serious). Never been pulled over tho... go fig.

I am currently 20 years old and cant wait until one of these dropps off in November. 4Las90, who is your insurance provider?

bigbrothajake 06-22-2004 11:35 PM

$80 a month full coverage for a 23 year old male with no violations of any sort. My insurance thinks my car resides in a small rural town and mine is number 4 on a list of cars where my dad is the primary user.

In actuality I live in Minneapolis and I'm the primary driver. This is one way to beat the system.

My dad pays it, The truck is still under his name with very few tickets under the hood.

56.00 every month for liability from farmers insurance on a 1990 civic. I'm 22yrs old, no accidents and no moving violations on my record and I'm the primary driver of the car. Also have a "good student" discount for having a gpa over 3.0

lets just say im gettin screwed by the system...thats about what it comes down to. I have to pay out the ass because of my neighborhood and the age group im in. If i dint have any violations, my Insurance would still be like 180ish. hopefully itll go down next month when i turn 21

98 eclipse, i think 1-2 speeding tickets (plus two on probation - probably dropped by now) no accidents, no runnig red lights ;-) (got pulled over for not stopping on stop signs about 7 times - no tickets though ) full coverage about $280/month - farmers ins. geico and progressive quoted me on $360 a month - and they were supposed to be cheap. Bull!

yours aint more expensive than mine. I bet you got full coverage too. and besides, look at what you got, a way newer car, same mount of violations, and your younger than i am. If you do have full coverage your not really gettin screwed that much

SlowWhite 06-23-2004 03:59 PM
