Laptop Help

My girlfriend is looking for a new laptop before she heads to china for 6 months. We went to best buy to look at some and I thought this laptop was a plenty enough for her to do her homework and browse the web and watch music videos and listen to music. It also needs a built in webcam for my viewing pleasures when she's gone.

So it needs to be:
Small about 14"
Integrated webcam
Some what fast
Good quality build
Lightweight
Decent battery life
Cannot have the numpad to the right of the keys. She doesn't like that.

My question is, do you guys agree or is there something better for around this price? The budget isn't very flexible also. Thanks!

Re: Laptop Help

That one looks fine for basic usage. You should check dell deals on dells website just to compare.

Re: Laptop Help

I would build one on Dell's site, skip the big box store bullshit. Also look at Dell's scratch and dent/refurb section as well. Get a 3 year warrant if you can afford it as well.

She leaves for china on the may 14/15, so can't really order one. Unfortunately, we are going to have to buy off the shelf. :/

Re: Laptop Help

Dell should ship fairly quickly. I had mine in a week this time of year in '06 when I ordered mine.

Re: Laptop Help

That laptop should hold up very well for her. I got my toshiba laptop 2 years ago and it's holding up really well. If she's not doing anything big, like editing stuff, then it shouldn't be an issue. That laptop specs look good for her to use.
