So that guy was the one who bought my friend's car that was in redwing then... lol

I can't imagine he thought it wouldn't take much to get that car going...

My brother and I bought the car from Zach and my brother sold it to the kid and his Dad.

My brother made it very clear he was getting into a big project and recommended he not buy it, they offered 900 and brother talked them down to $800 true story. He told them over and over it would be best to part out the motor and just buy a complete running 7 bolt engine to drop in. We gave them lots of extra DSM parts, the turbo is not seized besides we gave him an extra perfect t25 turbo and all our spare parts.

We were never dishonest, he is young and his Dad also wanted to buy the car to work on. Their decision to buy it, don't like how its being made out we mislead some kid on mnsc. Again my brother went over everything that is an issue with the car to the best of our knowledge and let them know it was a large project to tackle.

Epic that the pic I took of hughes in teh laZer gets reused! I love that shit.

Fuk them for spinning the story about buying a fuct up car, they knew well what they were getting into. When I sold my 1G it was a slightly similar situation, and the guy I sold it to was a massive ass-hat to me. To this day if I ever see him again, he's gonna get kicked in the nuts.

In the kid's defense, I he isn't complaining and looking for help. In truth he could part it out and make his money back or maybe sell it again if he has figured out it's too much for him. I was there once 15 years ago, no knowing biting off more than I could chew. But I always learned something, still am!

Is the car in pretty good shape Jim? Part of me wants it for making either swapping in my setup into the car or swapping an auto into my car. Think it'd be worth it?

The body would be great except that it has hail damage which I don't think you would want unless you have a good friend that does PDR for beer or something.

The underside is rusty but for the most part its all light rust, no rust through the core support or floorboards rust, looks way worse in the photos.

Bottom line is I would gut the interior or try and clean it (we got it smelling a lot better) and swap in new engine tranny and then it would need PDR.

We were going to get it running and put in a different interior and have the car ozoned (gets rid of smell). Zach (original owner) told us after he put the engine back together it only made 40psi in each cylinder and I don't see how that is likely being exactly 40psi across the board unless timing is off somehow or put together wrong. If the engine was truly bad we were going to sell the head, and buy a running 7 bolt to drop in. Car has all the parts and then some, the kid will make his money back parting it out which was our backup plan but then I bought Scheide's Evo and my brother has a new born and his business got busy.

If he puts it up for sale, you may want to look at it but if I were you I would want to get a car with a mint body to start with.
