An off topic forum keeps the place going and is a good thing to have so everyone can get to know eachother a little better. But on the other hand some things just clutter the place up and simply don't need to be posted... It's those things that shouldn't be posted. Simple guidelines should be in effect, something like "if you don't think anyone else cares, don't post it."

I also think the "Im drunk threads" which are always entertaining, need to go away.

I think we should delete some of the stupid shit like the I'm drunk shit we see every week. The parking lot section deffinitly keeps the site moving though. The tech, classifieds, gatherings, etc do not see half as much action. Especially in the winter.

Keep it and trash the "I'm drunk" threads like already suggested. The Parking Lot is a place where people can express the majority of their stupid comments which in turn helps to keep the tech threads cleaner of pointless crap.

I say stop deleting and locking the threads. I can bet if the "parking lot" section got any stricter a lot of members would leave. The one great aspect of this board is that people can just hang out and fuck around, this isn't exactly NABR nor will it ever be. I am not sure if anyone really comes here for the tech sections...nothing ever gets much more technical than the newbie sections of Tooners (once in a while there is, but its rare). Any/all of the "I'm drunk" threads should be deleted though...or anything posted by Tom

Chris I don't want to start an agrument, but from what I can remember, the TCMustang thread was the first thread to get locked in a very long time. After some member disagreement with locking and deleting the thread, it was brought back and opened up again.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I currently see no problem in the moderating style used throughout the Parking Lot threads.

I like the board...its one of only 3 boards that i regularly cruise (Style, MN, Duluth). I am almost wanting to say that the parking lot should be entirely unmoderated with a few exceptions (porn, serious personal threats, etc.). If people don't want to read a thread they don't have to. An "I'm drunk" thread really doesn't waste anyone's time, if you see it just skip over it. That is my new stand, and I'll probably stand by it for at least a few minutes.

Agreed with Chris!
Why would you ever think of getting rid of the parking lot??? Thats the greater majority of the use of this site. What is so bad about a stupid post...ignore it, dont read it. Why do we read the same stupid things over and over, then we just spend to much time on here and need more to do. Style is a great site, dont change it!

i'm drunk threads don't seem to happen all that much, at least since i've been here. MODS: i say don't be overbearing. good thing you chose to vote. and what forum is complete without an Off-Topic section?

Hey fuck off, I can't help it sometimes. Its kind of like taking home a girl that isn't all that attractive when you are drunk, at the time it seems like a great idea but then when you wake up you are like what the hell was I doing. Not that I ever do that of course hmy: .

Hell, the "Parking Lot" is the only reason I come here. Lord knows if it weren't for that forum I would have too much time on my hands to fuck with ol' man Raptor. Oh damn, I must be drunk right now.
