How much is 40k a year?

So i am getting ready to apply to radiology schools and talking more and more to people in the field it seems like the average salary is 40k.

I don't really know how much this is because i have never really had a steady job with set hours every week or salary to know.

Plus the last 2 years have really been the only ones i have kept an eye on what i have been spending and what not.

I am asking cause computer analyst jobs have been catching my eyes a lot, with the high pay and most part set hours, plus problem solving is something i like, i like to be challenged.

Down fall is that if you don't have a 4 yr in computer science you won't really make that much from what i have been reading the last few days.

I didn't persue computer science cause i was always told that the job outlook was low, as would be the earnings with so many people going into that field.
