Well my PTE scm-61 has shat on itself now for the second time. The original turbo lasted all of 1900 miles and the replacement didn't make it that far.
I'm feeding it from the filter housing. Actually both sides are plumbed with AN lines, #4 on the feed and #10 on the return. This is the first aftermarket turbo I've ever had any issue with and my old stand by turbo seems to last on the same car with no changes.
I've read stories where other people have had problems with the PTE stuff yet it seems to work fine for the majority of people using them. Now I'm at the point where I don't trust PTE to rebuild it or replace it again.
Anyways I'll probably sell this one off and someone can rebuild it while I move on to something else. Maybe I can get FP to build me a non-ball bearing 3065.
