If you do, use a FINE spray to barely cover it, and make sure you use a paint which contains ceramic flake to help dissipate the heat more effectively.

if you must have it black, annodize it. but you really arent fooling anyone, as anyone who knows enough to be weary of a DSM with a fmic will take one look under your hood and start figuring shit out.

Also, darker colors absorb more heat from the sun. Not a good thing when that's exactly what you're trying to dissipate.

I was thinking that black absorbs more also as why I stripped the black off the ic. I thought that the layer of paint would keep some of the heat in longer. Was thinking I might be able to trick some stupid domestics though having it black. Maybe I will let it bling in the front of my bumper. I plan on using a black grill infront of it so maybe that will cover it a bit.

I put a fine black screen mesh over my FMIC and it makes it a lot harder to see unless you are actually looking for it.

Going to be hard to bet against the honda with the catback and intake if he can see me ic sitting in the front of my car. He will not believe me when I say it is stock with a muffler now will he.

painting or annodizing it will cost you more money than you will ever make street racing.

Total $ run attemps: at least 10, if not many many more.
Total $ made: $10???

Yeah, I do not plan on anodizing it for color. If I was to do anything, I would have painted it.

YUCK! If a FMIC were like D-cups, I would rip that thing off and toss it on the street corner.
