MBC lines
Latley I have not been able to hit full boost. I should be at 21psi but I'm gettings stopped at 16-17psi. I am going to do a boost leak test tonight when I can borrow my buddies air compressor, but I thought I'd check all my lines first. Is there anyway I'm running off my 1 bar wg spring? Are these lines ran correctly or is there a different way to run them all? Thanks

Re: MBC lines
Your routing looks correct.

Re: MBC lines
Is there any other way of routing it? I thought a friend of mine told me a while ago that I could just connect a few lines together or run my mbc to my turbo or something.

Re: MBC lines
My turbo has a place to hook up the vacuum line for the pressure source. I have like 4" of hose on either side of my boost controller, it sits only a few inches away from the turbo and wastegate.

That's what I'm thinkin about. Where do all your lines run to then? My nipple on the turbo is tied off (like that when I baught it) so if I were to use that as my pressure source, how would I run the rest of the lines? And is there any benifit to running the lines off the turbo?

Re: MBC lines
Here is what mine looks like. I believe the benefits are less boost spike, maybe some other things too that I can't remember.
Then for the BOV just run a line straight to the intake mani.

Re: MBC lines
Clean your mbc out, running off the compressor housing will allow the lowest boost possible. Most people run the line off the intake manifold like you have it now.

Re: MBC lines
I used to run one pressure source for both the BOV and wastgate but was having some issues with my MBC also holding boost. I ran them independently and that fixed the problems.

Awesome, I'll go buy some new lines and switch them around and see if that fixes the problem.

Re: MBC lines
Fixed it! I ran the bov to the intake mani and the mbc to the wg and to the turbo. Thanks slowboy! I actually had more than enough line the way it was so I just switched em and now she bangs nicely.

Re: MBC lines
Yea thats gotta be one of the quickest threads ever. Post a thread with a question and have you answer in 5 mins and car fixed in 10. haha shit we never even hit page two.
And btw your pic was backwards. The bottom of the mbc goes to the wg, just if you wanted to know for sure. Thanks again

I don't mean to steal your thread but recently after a new bov install, I've been getting some problems with my mbc also and I've been reading around on different more accurate ways to hook it up. Does the bottom of the mbc always go to the wastegate? The way I have mine hooked up right now is the bottom one goes to a boost source nipple off a pipe from my j-pipe. Then the other one that's located on the side of the mbc to the wastegate. Again, sorry, I don't mean to steal your thread.

EDIT: My TurboXS standard boost controller is opposite of most of the MBCs out there. The instructions tell you specifically to connect the bottom output to the wastegate.
But the buscher one I have on my car right now is normal, with the side going to the wastegate.

Re: MBC lines
Okay, mine is just some home made model. I bought it from someone from this forum a long time ago. Forgot his username but he was a more older guy that lives in Coon Rapids I think. I guess you get what you pay for.

Re: MBC lines
Again, slowbody is right on the money. What kind of mbc do you have? I have a joe p and the bottom goes to the wg and the top/side to the turbo. I am not familiar with hooking up a mbc to the j-pipe though. Normally they are hooked up like the top pic or like previously stated.
And don't worry about stealing my thread. I'm done with it haha. You can have it now lol.

Re: MBC lines
Looks like we replied at the same time but yes, mine is a home made model. Looks like something you can buy from Menards and put it together. It worked great before when I had it with my T25, and now with my E3 16g. It just suddenly went crazy after changing the 1g bov to a hks ssqv bov.

Re: MBC lines
This is where my lines are ran now. Idk if that will help or not but I thought I'd post it up.
