Your winter plans!

Well, it is about time to do this again. What are your winter plans for your DSM this year?

I am going to do a full fuel system, fuel cell, big pump, SS lines, 1600cc injectors. All in prep for running E85 next year. I am also going to finish up my intake manifold and get my big ass FMIC on with 3" piping, custom end tanks and 3" TB. I am also going to get my chromoly cage in and my spearco seats, then put the interior back in.

I also want to make the car more streetable, so I am going to change to a larger slave cylinder, put in a clutch stop and get the 2 step working. I would like to do something with the suspension, but that probably won't happen this year. I also want to cut some more weight off if possible.

Re: Your winter plans!

HIYO! I'm gonna turn my car INTO a dsm. Yeah, i was thinking about installing all that big turbo jazz and intake at the same time, but maybe I should just do the intake, since that would be easier, and i can get used to the different driving/running behaviour of a big huge manifold.

I wonder if I can get 300 hp with the stock turbo....

Re: Your winter plans!

Full Slicks, direct port nitrous, figure out syncro issue, pull another 200lbs out of it, custom head studs, o-ring block, copper head gaskets.

Mid season hopefully twin 61mm turbo's and a parachute.

Re: Your winter plans!

I'm just going to focus on fixing up things that are already wrong with mine when I got it.

-Handbrake and cables
-Correct sized tires
-Rear defroster
-Rear wiper
-Get Intrax Springs installed to replace cut ones
-Install A'pexi S-AFC

That's about all I have planned this winter.

Re: Your winter plans!

Between school and work I'm putting in my 680s, walbro 255, finish up the fmic, dsmlink. I'm all about a "clean" dsm so I'm going to redo my swede headliner and keep the two tone tan/black look. I'm also planning on doing a custom trunk with 2 12s in the back.

Re: Your winter plans!

I want to find a nice quest shell over the winter and also a block to start a basic motor build for it. I think I am pretty set on which block that will be to.

I also think there will be a few goodies to go on the 6. How long they stay on is up to the woman! LOL

Other than that, nothing big. Everything is relevent to how broke we are after the wedding!

Re: Your winter plans!

A few minor appearance things for the S exterior, VAFC2 install/tune, and maybe a few go-fast goodies depending on whether or not I get a IX.

Re: Your winter plans!

Cant do much over winter because the car is in storage far away... but Im thinking about whats next, every day!

I have a list of things to do after I pull it out of storage. Most has to do with appearance because I got backed into right before I stored it, and need to fix that. Going to fix the lifter tick and a few other little things...

Then debate whether to keep it or sell it.

Re: Your winter plans!

Um, un egg-roll my car even further.
Get windows, diagnostic port, and heat/hvac controls working.
Put carpet in it, Tranny, maybe seats (depends on $$$), coat the underbody with rust protector shit.
Install 880s once diagnostic port is good.
Rims & tires.
Oil pressure gauge in stock cluster.
Maybe get rid of cat-back.

Red shell gets parted out or John gets it.

FMIC and fuel for the Colt. I want to keep the 11b til spring. This POS will be the fastest pile of used mitsu parts to never run 14's.

Its gonna be somewhere around the range of getting a honda/1g beater to drive to work and back.
Make my current dsm full drag. maybe AWD conversion, Maybe a baby eater turbo, Maybe some more cool stuff.
