Busy life!
So who's like me and got way to much shit packed into life right now?
I'm sitting downstairs last night looking at my DVR setup on the TV and I see 6 weeks of CSI to watch, a few episodes of The 9, and about 20 other good shows that I just don't have time to watch. So I was going to watch a few shows and just said fuck it and went upstairs. Finally got to sleep at a decent hour because of it.
I've got:
regular FT gig
2 smaller PT gigs
2 classes with finals this week then 1 class starting next week
family wedding coming up this weekend
bowling every week
website crap (mostly breaking stuff for chris to fix)
wedding to start planning
a cat that just took a butload of cash from us to have all but 2 teeth removed
and a woman to keep happy (ft gig in itself )
So who else has put a whole lot on their plate recently and any tips other than walking outside and screaming for a few seconds

Re: Busy life!
You definitely have a whole lot more going on than I do, but it does seem like there is something going on every night and there is just no time to get all the little stuff done. Keep trucking through it and drink some booze once in a while just to take the edge off

Re: Busy life!
Hrm, this seems familiar, but I'll add a few things:
FT Job (love it, except for listening to audi guys @ work whining about how they have $70k into their cars...and they have all of 500hp)
PT Job/business (extra cash for the cars & lady)...consulting time
PT Job/business (same as above but working on hosting stuff)
DSMStyle...making the site better and then fixing shit that AJ breaks
Anna's insistence to be with me at all times
Fixing the DSM (woot! another turbo swap!)
Driving the Evo (note the difference from the above?)
Making fun of AJ (this could turn into a fulltime gig...more to come on this one!)
so hrm...pretty light load right now actually, so I think I'm gonna head out of town for the weekend, party with some old friends.
Just think AJ. On top of this stuff, you'll get to find time/money for various house projects: broken shit, new lighting/electrical, kitchen remodels, painting...oh yay!

Re: Busy life!
sacrifices are to be made...
Full time gig at IBM aproximately 55hrs/week
Apartment building management/maintenance sometimes 0 hours other times 30 hours/week.
Webhosting same as the apt building.
Towing is sporadic so sometimes i have a car or two / week sometimes its 1 or 2 a month.
fall/winter time, i have to get all the properties winter ready, lots of freaken work.
I have postponed all the DSM work, all my hobies are on hold, all the little projects are on hold, and speaking of holdING thats what i'm doing now so he doesn't cry and typing with left hand, with all the other shit taking up my days/evenings the baby has taken over my nights, last night i got about 4 hours of sleep.
you will just have to make time basicly, sometimes you will miss/drop few things to take care of something else but that is what/how life is...

Re: Busy life!
Similar to what I've been telling someone else lately you can't do everything all at once. Prioritize as much as possible and take it as it comes. I'm thankful to not have a lot to do outside of work, but at times I wish I did have more to make the time go faster.

Re: Busy life!
Time going by faster is NO bullshit, these past 8 weeks have just FLEW by for me. it's unreal. I think what i am going to do is just cancel more of my TV, and just relax more at home. Really kick my ass to get to the gym, otherwise I'm really going to turn into a lazy pile of out of shape shit.

Ya life is as busy as you make it...at times you wish you had 28 hour days and then there are days you wish would have only 10 hours in them...Yes life now a days is full of tech stuff that seems to be going faster everyday, fast cars that keep going faster & smarter, like even park for you now! HDTV, cell phones, text messaging, you get the drift! Life just flies by and even though only 24 hours in a day. Like Matt d said "you can't do everything all at once. Prioritize as much as possible and take it as it comes"

Re: Busy life!
My life for a while was really busy with 80+ hours of work a week for a project and I broke up with my GF of 6 years and kicked her out. But now my life is pretty laid back with 40-50 hours of work a week (for now) and chillin at my bachelor pad.

Re: Busy life!
I can't wait til my life is busy again
The two things I want to be doing again are working and going to school. I really want to be going to school for whatever reason, even though I'm not 100% sure what I want to do yet. Maybe journalism but for sure getting generals out of the way.

Re: Busy life!
School is a VERY smart idea, once you go and start getting your generals taken care of you'll probably find something that fits you really well that you want to pursue.

No necissarily. I've been in college before, and I hated it. It just reminded me why I graduated early, and it wasn't because I was smart.

Re: Busy life!
I can definitly fit in this boat!
Work about 50 hours a week at the FT gig.
Taking 8 credits of college courses (I am a senior so the easy shit is done)
Keeping up the house/yard work.
Trying to get cars fixed and out of here.
The shop is pretty much on hold right now, but I hope to get back into it in a few months when the above gets caught up some more.
Then there is the g/f and 2 kids at home too. They are fun, but take up a lot of time.
Working out 3 times a week too.

I'm too busy making everyone else's schedules busy-keeping in touch- so I never get caught up on anything; including furthuring my plans in life. Time is going by way too fast and before you know it, you're old. :-(
