Hey Shane, do you have a 6 bolt set in stock? I could probably pick them up this afternoon.

Thanks

Chris

If you simply placed a comma in this sentence, it would have a whole new meaning. :stick:

What are the advantages of using these versus OEM? When should you upgrade to these?

Shane, thanks. I will probably stop by later today and pick up a set.

Matt: you want these any time you want to run more than 20-22psi....or if you have the opportunity to install them then you really should. If you are modding your DSM, even a little, then these are a must.
I probably blew my head gasket early last spring due to not haveing ARPs

I'll take your word for it... 16g and beyond.

Shane, how long is the sale going on for? If possible I can stop by Wednesday.

The stockers like to start stretching at some point. It depends a lot on how high your cylinder pressures are from boost and knocking. A couple more lbs of boost aren't going to make the head lifting pressure that some detonation with make. You usually don't want to try to push the boost much past 23psi on the stock head studs though. The 93+ studs are also 1mm smaller than the 90-92.5, so they will probably stretch a little easier too.

The sale is going until the end of this week.

You really don't need to do that.

Or just cut the mount down to next to nothing. We remove the whole upper mount part and the lower 2 mounting hole to the block. So there is just 2 bolts holding it to the block and the area and holes needed to mount the power steering back onto it.

i've installed one head before without doing that, and what we had to do was install a couple of the studs after the head was on because the head would not go on. it was either modify the mount, or take out a couple of the studs and put them back in once the head was already on. And he didn't wanna modify the mount, so we did it that way and it worked out fine, but i think its much easier to just modify the mount and not worry about it again.

Would you buy 90-92.5 for a 2.4 buildup?
