Boost leak?

I am trying to figure out whether i have a boost leak or something else. I have a 50 trim and fmic. When i get on the throttle the car gets to about 4000-4500rpms and just stops. By stop i mean the car farts and sputters until i get off of it. It gets to about 9lbs, it's set at 14. I went through all the couplers and made sure every clamp was tight. I was thinking it could be something fuel related. I have 550's, 255, and safc2. I'm just wondering what the possibilities could be. Could it be a boost leak on the intake manifold? I havn't touched the intake in like a year though. Anything is helpfull.

Re: Boost leak?

Get your car professionally dyno-tuned and any of the numerous shops in the area offering the service.

Re: Boost leak?

Your on the right track, but save yourself an engine and get a dyno tune. After you do a boost leak test.

Re: Boost leak?

I have a boost leak tester.. Just call me. And until his running hot(not exactly overheating) issues are solved, it's not getting on the dyno.

Re: Boost leak?

Do a boost leak test. That should be the first thing you do before you do anything else.

Re: Boost leak?

I'm sure you guys don't really care, but i had several boost leaks throughout the engine bay. My car runs money now, i boosted it a couple times on the way home, never going passed 5 1/2 grand cause my car has no tune, but no more sputtering and my my temp was pegged at 180 the whole way. Thanks for all the help guys. Especially Mo.
