Need to shut up Mustang buddies
All my close friends are car guys and we are always giving each other crap about who's gonna be quicker. Well 2 of them own mustangs, one a '95 GT with dart heads, bbk headers, almost every bolt on. The other '02 GT every bolt on plus header back exhaust and soon 3.73 gears. Well these guys don't think that our Talon (My brother and I) is worth shit, i finally had enough of them and i will be throwing some major work into this thing in the next month.
My question to you all is, What mods do you think i need? I would like input from you all because you all have way more experience than me, and i do respect a lot of you and your cars.
The car is 100% stock.
These are my plans in the next few weeks:
Boost Gauge, EGR blockoff, remove emissions/vac lines.(have on hand)
Brakes.
Passenger side axle & driver side ball joint (needs)
Replace tranny & T-case with redline
Cheap Rims (has crappy rims & tires right now)
Jet 3" exhaust
DSMlink
GT Exhaust Mani, EVO 3 16G
Walbro 255 & Aero AFPR
Am i missing anything? Any helpful input is appreciated. Also if anyone knows where i can get any of these things for a good price let me know.
Thx Aaron

Re: Need to shut up Mustang buddies
Injectors, at least 550's,
2g MAF.
FMIC.
Boost controller.
Also personally Id skip the exhaust manifold, just get a 2g and port it.

Re: Need to shut up Mustang buddies
Sounds like a good start, may want to add injectors to that list. I'm not too sure on how much power is added with heads n all that crap on stangs. But I did race a few stock stangs with my exhaust a BCed 14b and smoked em. Good luck.
PS if you ever want someon to shut them up for ya, holla.

Get an intake, exhaust, clutch, MBC, Free Mods, and some race gas and you'll give them a run for their money if you can dirve.

Just get 3" exhaust, race gas, and turn up the boost to 17psi.

Re: Need to shut up Mustang buddies
How about something to control fuel for the larger turbo, larger suggested intercooler setup, better flowing exhaust sytem, more boost, and larger fuel system?
::sigh::

Re: Need to shut up Mustang buddies
Thanks all for the input. Swanny i think the DSMlink will be able to manage that stuff.
Thx Ju-on and S2Kracka, obviously you guys know whats up. (Ju-on did u want those lenses?)
Well i am gonna have to do just basic mods for now, my idiot brother got suspended from work, so now i have to provide/do everything. I should be stopping by LSE tomorrow afternoon, if thats alright. I have to pick up some redline.
Oh yeah, my car is a '92 AWD, 5 spd. Thats looks completely brokeass, just ask the LSE guys.
Thanks again will keep you all updated on "Project dsmstyle/stang killa"

Re: Need to shut up Mustang buddies
So what can a "heads/cam" POS do? I'm thinking mid 13s? I know some leg humper will say 11s but that's just crazy.

Mid 13s might be a little high, I was thinking more really high 12s or low 13s.
