How about some 4g64's, stock rod length .060" over in 8.8:1 compression?
That is as low of a price as I have found on the Wiseco's and a KILLER price on the Eagle's! Snap them up guys!!

I only know of Wiseco shelf item pistons for the 6-bolt 4G64 block/4G63 head combo in standard and 0.020" over bores, unless they were recently released and aren't in the catalog. Custom sets would be a fair amount more. You would need an 88mm+ headgasket too I assume to use such a large bore.

Yeah, Wiseco only lists the 87mm piston, basically a .020(.5mm) overbore for a 2.4.
That is a killer price. Hmmmm.

God damn, I just ordered my 2.4 pistons from clay wilcox at barnonemotorsports for $450!
How long to get 8.8:1 .020" over for a 7 bolt, yes I said 7, 4G64? Maybe I can get a refund...
I do still need the rods though. How long will this sale last?
Chris
Edit: Would the 8.8:1 CR be considered custom, I see they only shelf stock 9.3:1 for the 4G64...

Do you want to check on the price for those .060" over pistons? If it isn't a ton more I will still go with them. They should be part #K564M88. 87mm is only a 2.378L vs. a 2.433L for the 88mm. That is a 2% increase in displacement :P

Actually, I believe you'll need the Wiseco part # K559M88. I ordered the 564's last time I did my motor and the pin diameter didn't work with the Eagles. If I remember right, the 559's accept the 1mm larger pin. But I'm sure Shane got that crap figured out anyways. You just need the 88mm piston, I'd be interested in them as well.

Yea, those are custom pistons. The only shelf item pistons for the 7-bolt 4G64 9.3:1 compression.

The only K564M part#s are K564M865 and K564M87. The larger bores woudl have to be custom made. You would have to get a headgasket made for that bore also.

I am trying to find on pricing and if I can get small batches of custom pistons made using my distributor. If I go direct threw Wiseco I have to do a min of 12 pistons on each custom order. Wiseco said custom pistons at this time will take about 6 weeks to have made.
The rods will be on sale for until I goto Florida for Christmas to visit Mara's parents. I don't exactly when we are leaving, probably around the 22.

He bought a 6-bolt 2.4 from me, so I'd guess that's what these are going in.

How about if we can get 12 of these pistons sold? It sounds like Steve is interested, so that is 8. I could check on MNDSM to see if anyone else is building a 2.4. What would be the price?

I think they're talking about 12 sets, not 12 pistons. It'd be nice if they did though. I know somebody makes the 88mm size.

Nope, look again Steve! I am sure someone on NABR or Tooners would be willing to buy the other set.

Ahh, that's pretty easy then. One of the guys on here bought 2 of the 2.4's from me, but I think he's headed to Iraq. I think Mara's engine needs a .120" overbore.

Well, the price on custom sets would be $440. I got them down to doing 8 (two 4 piston sets)at min for me. But the 2 sets would have to be the same or possibly just a different bore. The Wiseco guy was a bit surprised about anyone requesting a 0.060" over on a 4G64 block. If you guys want to do it, let me know. I should be able to get an 88mm headgasket made too.

I don't know if the extra mm of bore would be worth the custom pistons and hg. I could get that much gain from cleaning my air filter once in a while.
