Snow
I'm suprised no one else started this yet...
I don't know how much, but it's been snowing for about 16 hours now... and now the wind has picked up.
Dinkytown, we've got about a foot or so, proly a little more now... Visibility is almost 0...
Took Rollin Joe and I about 1.5 hours to get from Roseville to Minneapolis... It's usually about 10 minutes....

Re: Snow
Snow finally stopped, but its blowing like crazy, probably got about 8 inches here in Whapeton....but the snow drifts are amazing. Just got done doing my good deed for the night, pulled about 4 people out with the good ol Rodeo. Its amazing when you end up getting your first real snow storm, you find out how dumb people can be when it comes to driving on the snow covered roads.

Re: Snow
Snow is fine. Ninety % of the people who drive in the snow are morons (trying to pass me to try and pass the salt trucks that are taking up all 4 lanes of I-94) . Ummm yea.

Leaving right now to head up to Outing MN to go ride some snowmobiles. I just bought a 98 XC600 and a 93 Indy Storm, time to have some fun in the snow.

Re: Snow
Polaris? Come one now, haha. Yea I was supposed to leave last night for Hayward but decided against it. Was going to do some ice fishing and snowmobiling but maybe next weekend.
Im still excited for the snow here though, its about time the ground was covered. We got about 7-8 inches in Bloomington.

Re: Snow
I think we got about 7-8 inches out here. It took me 3 hours to get home from work, and I left at 4 p.m. It sucked. The roads on 94W had not been plowed from what I could tell.

Re: Snow
I picked up Erik D from Burnsville (left the shop at 4:30) then went out to Waconia to look at a car for 10 minutes, drove all the way back to Burnsville and up to the shop. Lots of fun, at least the Max has some ground clearance and 4 wheel otherwise that would have sucked. The wipers are gay though. I hate snow.

Re: Snow
I didn't leave work till 12:00pm, it had stoped snowing but they didn't plow the parking lot, instead they made a "path" right behind all the parked cars so there was a nice little 2' wall right behind my car. I just started rocking the car back a fourth and then managed to bust through it, otherwise there was too much snow to dick around in parking lots.

Re: Snow
I am jealous. I wanted to go snowmobiling today but my sleds are up in Stacy locked up in my friends garage. Damn Andy got to go with some of his co workers today in Hayward. I wanted to go but I don't have anything to tow them anyway right now. My 99 MXZ700 has 1100 miles on it and my 96 JAG440Z has been riden twice in two years. Now if it would just snow like this about once every few weeks we would be in good shape.

Re: Snow
I drove back to woodbury from duluth last night. It was crazy out! It was snowing so hard by duluth that I couldnt see the cars infront of me and was doing about 20mph on the highway. The whole trip too 4 hours.
Did anyone manage to get their awd suck? I tried to see what my car could make it thourgh. The snow was well up to the bottom of the car and it just kept going. Now I remember why I keep this car around.

This is what Mankato looks like. We had some crazy white out conditions last night. Not sure how much snow we got but it drifted like crazy.

The trip from the Cities to Duluth took me 6 hours once in a bad snow storm a few years back!

It sucks. The more it snows, the longer I have to wait to install my new parts. Oh well, serves me right for moving to D
P.S. Now, add over a foot of snow to that pic.
