Incase anyone cares, I just had my buddy (big V8 guy) call me up whining and moaning because there was a 4-cylinder on the cover of Hot Rod Mag! As they even stated, anything that goes down the track in 8-sec and at 160+ is cover worthy!

Shep's been up to lots of new stuff....

Car is down to 2650 lbs w/ driver

Car keeps making more and more power. We'll say its in the 4 digits range.

Car has trapped much higher in test passing then in comeptition. We'll say its double digits higher.

Sorry about the misinformation . He made it sound to me like Shep's car was on the cover. My apologies.

No, but there's a nice article about the car, even if it seems BJ takes all the credit for everything. I was under the impression Shep built his own engine, not BJ.

Hot Rod has to acknowledge the faster part of the import scene because it's very much like hot rodding started in the 50's and 60's, guys souping up their cars to go faster. The import scene is kinda following the same trend, manufacturers realized people want faster cars, so they started making them faster and faster. You're probably not going to see some riced out piece of shit Honda in Hot Rod, or any drifting crap, but the guys going fast with imports deserve some recognition.

The thing that is kind of interesting about the article is that Primedia owns Hot Rod and they also own numerous import magazines so I can understand why the V8 guys are a little irritated about the article.
