I got arrested FOR WHAT ? "funny story"

last night about 8:30 pm i was cruising home in my talon on white bear ave in maple wood. i had my wife with me . we just left the maple wood mall and some one was pulled over on white bear ave i was at the light it changed green i was in the left lane took off shifted in to 2nd right next to the cop he must have heard my bov and assumed it was my exhaust ?

But anyways he immediately pulls me over asks me why are you whizzing by ? In a sarcastic manor and your exhaust is illegal im like "No its not i had a shop install it" and i was like im very familiar with the statutes i used to drive big block camaros i know what they can do and cant ... well rest-assured he didn't like that i knew what i was talking about and quoting the statues and i was like it has to be 60 db and 10 feet away past and past 10 pm epa statues .

then he pulled my dl and insurance and was like your dl is suspended im like how and who what when ? now im starting to get frustrated already picking at my car and hassling me im still calm and hes like well i dont like your attitude your under arrest for loud exhaust NOT for the suspension

he is like" your car is it has a turbo its illegal modification "now im getting pissed off my exact words were how is it illegal for a car that came turbo from the factory at this point trying to tow my car for no reason at all im fully insured full coverage and unknowing didn't know about the dl suspension

im in back of the squad assuming he is going to let me go home just playing hard ball for a petty traffic offense no big deal .. hell no that gay bastard brought my ass to Ramsay county jail on a ordnance violation what the hell ?

like i got booked and kinda laughed at by the sheriffs there like why are you here and like and an hour later i was released .. ? after they said i had court in the morning ... and not going home i was laughing kinda too im like this is ridiculous got home about 11:30 wife was like you got pwnd but happy to see me .. i was thinking they couldn't keep me for long on a such weak charge

so officer parker badge 443 of maplehood pd can lick my ....... if you dont like turbo cars ...

sounds infuriating! Lots of officers are only in law enforcement for the power trip, and when you dont bend over for them sometimes they feel threatened and really crank up the awful on minor things.

Parker is a total badass lol. Contrary to what you think of him, he is a good cop. I know him when I used to work in that area. Different jurisdictions have different noise ordinance laws. You should check with the City of Maplewood to be sure. Officers are allowed to play it by ear though so its partially based on the officer's opinion but you have to justify your reason in the report.

Also, there is really no decibel reading needed for exhaust in MN (doesn't mean you can't BS them into thinking it is needed

). If it crackles and pops at all (which is completely up to officer discretion) it is by law illegal (which pretty much any aftermarket exhaust will do).

I think you proably were asking to get pullied over. Arent you running a holset turbo? For your bov to go off you would have to been some what getting on it. If I see a cop and I have exhaust or anything "illegal" on or done to my car. I make sure I dont do anything to catch there eye. I been pullied over alot more then most people. iam sure its close to 50 times. Once for running from a trooper and he let us go. He let us go because we didnt give him any problems. He asked a question and we awnsered it honestly. If you dont want to get harassed by the cops you try to blend in.

Pretty much this is words to live by if you mod your vehicle. Which is the reason why I'm so happy to drive a bone stock DSM and I have absolutely no plans on modding it whatsoever.

Well boosting by the cop was not a smart thing to do. I drove my 800AWHP race car about 700 miles on the street this year and drove by at least a dozen cops, one of which was parked on the side of my road talking to some guy. Drive to blend in and you will be a lot better off.

Back 9 years ago I got pulled over in Maplewood too. Tried to play it cool, but ended up getting a loud exhaust ticket. Had a completely stock 1g with an Apex N1 catback. I was 16-17 years old. I figure I was the perfect candidate for him to hit. Young guy with a Talon lol. Thought it was unfair but oh well, I blame it on wrong place wrong time.

Awesome, knowing this guy he was a moron and your car sounds like shit so I hope he did pull you over for exhaust.

Now that i commute more it is shitty to hear fart cans on POS cars, yesterday i was on 35E and a had a shitastic honda hatch drive by that thing not only sounded bad, but it hit a bump and I swear looked like it bounced for a mile and that it was gonna bounce off the ground.

If your license was suspended in their system, i give you a 10% it was their mistake but most likely you didn't pay a fine or just didn't know. Happened to me with a no insurance ticket once.

Yeah, Maplewood cops are pretty crazy. I have friends who live in Maplewood and they have stories of getting pulled over.
