Alright, alright...time for MY project thread
Been doing a bit of work on the car lately. Just trying to take care of some minor 'would be nice to have' kind of mods over the winter instead of adding anything that makes power (well, except for the front mount...).
First up: stealth Perrin intercooler. I don't have any pics with the bumper on yet since it got late and I needed to attend to the rill after installing.
Unfortunatly, timing was not on my side and my Nisei polished upper intercooler pipe showed up the Monday following...
I also picked up some new headlights for the car. Got some silverstar ultra's for low beams and some PIAA 2500K yellow bulbs for the high beams. So far I only have the high beams installed and I really, really like them. I'm not sure if the wattage is slightly higher (55W) of if the colour provides better contrast or something but they seem to light up the road and the side of the road a lot better than whatever came stock. The only issue I had with the install was the gasket included was huge and wouldn't let the bulb seat all the way so I pulled them off and put the gasket from the stock lights on.
Stock low beam:

I remember reading somewhere that the human eye sees yellow light better than blue light. Something about the blue kind of "over exposes" the eye or something like that, resulting in not being able to see into the shadows as well. I'll look for more info on that.

I believe that all 03's came with hid's from the factory and then in 04-06 it was a option.

RS and GSR's do not come with HID's (post '03). To get HID's you either need the SSL package, MR, or SE.

Re: Alright, alright...time for MY project thread
I understand all of that, but none of that answers the question.
Only reason I asked is because if they aren't, those Halogen projectors have quite a nice cut-off on them, and aftermarket PNP HID kits would probably work work out real nice on that.

Re: Alright, alright...time for MY project thread
Those are the regular GSR projectors designed for use with halogen bulbs.

Haha thats awesome!
Looking good so far! Id say, throw a nice aftermarket HID kit in there and the lighting will be even more amazing.

I'm trying to decide between getting some JDM HID housings, paying $500 to have my stockers upgraded to Acura TL HID projectors, or just throwing in some HID bulbs and hoping the cut-offs work well enough.

Yet another Beatrush product I'm impressed with! Thanks for the stock undertray piece and the jalapeno burgers rocked!

Awesome man! That plate holder a nice piece, too bad the IX's don't come with the small underframe that the VIII's do. Nice FMIC and seat too!

Re: Alright, alright...time for MY project thread
I thought I seen a mini Sparco a while back and it was something like 400 bucks I thought. I don't have kids yet so I guess I don't have to worry about car seats though

Re: Alright, alright...time for MY project thread
I asked Zac today and he said it was around $250 which I didn't think was too bad considering its definitely a top quality product and the box says it can be used until they are 70 pounds/8 years old.
