Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

First thing I noticed when I looked at the engine bay back when they first released the car. I still cant get over them going from an inline 6 to a v6..

Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

Who cares? What's the big difference in a v6 vs. an inline?

Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

I think he's pointing out the fact that they didn't carry over the RB26 from the R34 more than the difference between a V6 and an I6.

Nothing, one is more fuel efficient and compact, the other is an old design.

Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

It's just my preference. I'm more of an inline engine type of guy. Not really into v6's.

Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

If it makes and holds a ton of power I could care less if it's a V or Inline engine.

Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

Inline 6's typically make less power but more torque. But I'm guessing they switch for compactness, an inline is always going to be longer.

They are probably the most reliable part on the car.

I prefer Inline 6's tq, and thats crazy, I wonder if those are actually the same? They sure look identical. Mitsu for the win!

Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

If the bore and stroke were the same I do not see why a inline motor vs a V motor would make more/less torque. They do look really nice.

Inline 6's give a good excuse to make a nice, long, sloping hood.

Re: R35 Skyline BOV's

Dont inlines motors last longer? Less wear since its all just up and down for the most part. Ford 300 I6 almost impossible to kill.
