Dsm Cruise (?)
Wassup everyone, I have own my Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs for two years now. And I have been looking around to see if their is any DSM Cruise around the metor area. I have seen many DSM Cruise elsewhere. I know that their have been a curise up at Duluth, but what about the metro area? I was just wondering if anyone would kare to set up a DSM meet and cruise around town.

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
I suppose we could do this. Not really sure how well it would go though, my guess is that with traffic we'd all get separated. We could cruise around the lakes (Calhoun, Nokomis, Lake of the Isles, etc.) and stop to grill somewhere. Or we could do one to Stillwater and cruise around that area a bit.

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
Or, I/we can just put the effort into another weekend cruise like the one to Duluth. How does July 14-15 work for people?

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
What about a ND weekend for some track fun as well? Then D town again in the Fall?
I'm game for just about anything, but I'll know my situation more after the wedding.

A trip to ND would be pretty boring as 94 is so flat and straight... hmm Im up for whatever though.

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
A cruise to ND would be boring, not a whole lot out there and its nothing but a straight flat highway the entire trip. There are plenty of track events all summer, including MAP's at Rockfalls, we don't need our cruise to revolve around one (plus I'm sure the majority of people wouldn't track their car anyways).

I seem to remember us having a ton of fun on the "straight, flat, boring highway"!!
Maybe instead of ND we could head to CF? We could run the river down to Winona, then head over.

I liked the river drive down to Winona like we did last fall. There is plenty of fun to be had on the straight flat stretches of highway, but not when you go without turning the wheel for 4 hours straight!

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
I was thinking that we should not go too far. Around the lake in the metro area would be fine. And grill afterward or grill and then cruise. Separating apart from everyone should not be a problem. (I think) Lay out the map of where we will be cursing to and from. Around the summer of July should be fine. Take what works best for everyone. Would like to see a big turn out.

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
I also have another question. How come I don't really see any DSM over at midway on University. Seeing only one by itself or wondering around. No pack of the DSM. Mostly seen is the, Civic and Integra.

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
An all day sunday event would work out awesome for me and joesushi, somewhere local would be best, DSMs dont get great gas mileage to begin with, and a roadtrip to nowhere seems like a bad idea.....
Besides, I dont want to flatbed something home for a multi-hour trip.

Re: Dsm Cruise (?)
My 20G Talon got over 30 mpg on the highway and my stock Laser AWD gets 27. The next cruise I organize with be another overnight cruise to somewhere since the last one worked out so well and everyone had a great time. We had our share of DSM issues, but every car that left under its own power returned under its own power.
