My weekend up in Hayward, WI. 56k FTL
Went up north for the weekend and playing in the snow. Had an awesome time!!
The first pic is what happens when you take a corner too fast and get sucked into the depths of the white! lol
Did a little fishing yesterday for an hour or so and caught a bunch of sunnies, perch and crappies. Got two bass to, the pic is of the bigger one. And yes that is an auger almost all the way through the 3.5 feet of Ice- almost need an extention to get through!
Its nice we actually got some real snow for once.. I sure do miss it. Took a small vid clip with the point and shoot: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ooDQgXgUHdk

I miss riding snowmobiles. Northern Wisconsin is a great place to vacation. Winters and summers are awesome up there. What lake were you on? Nelson, Smith, or Hayward? Cabin is up on the Minong Flowage - about 30 minutes west of Hayward, WI.

We are on Nelson, I know where Minong flowage is, we actually snowmobiled that way and crossed the flowage over the weekend.

There's a bay situated south of the island. It's in that bay. I love that sandy island in the middle of the flowage. Hotties can be found there every weekend. Another great lake is Crystal, near the flowage. It is possibly the clearest water I've seen up north. Nelson is a great recreation lake. I've wakeboarded (on its calmer days) and tubed it a few times.

Large Mouth Bass threw the ice, that is rare, nice fish and looks like it was fun.

I hope the sled with pogosticks isn't your.
I rode about 130 miles on Friday between Faribault and Cannon Falls. I still feel like I fell off and got ran over instead of having rode that far. It snowed nearly all day and through the evening until we called it quits just after midnight. Lots of drifts, and unfortunately none of the trails had been groomed.

Re: My weekend up in Hayward, WI. 56k FTL
haha no we have had that black 600 for a few years, it runs great but isn't as good on the trails. Suspension sure has come along way since 94. The red one is mine. Both are studded, the red one has ice pick studs for the lake runs.
We are thinking about selling both and upgrading to RX-1s, wish we got more snow these winters because that would justify buying new ones a lot more.
Ive caught quite a few largemouths on our lake through the ice, the population has grown alot but the walleye population went down hill. Might get up there in a couple weeks again before it gets to warm to venture out.

Looks absolutely great! You must have some land or somehow found some unmolested snow. My parents used to have a cabin in Sarona, WI and that was some of the best snow fun I've ever had.
