Well what a way to start off 2007
So since I've already typed this one and the computer froze. I'm just going to keep it short and the sarcastic commentary out. Cause I'm just to tired.
Motor in the eclipse crankwalked today along with i'm sure a spun bearing, and who knows what else. (probably happened yesterday when andy, and I went to Applebees last night) but what ever. Concordes dead and now the eclipse is toast after 3000 miles. It was probably a detonation thing due to my head problems (ie: oil and coolant issues, sputtering)

Get out of DSM's, seriously. You have had worse luck than anyone I've known. Sorry to hear about this though

He's joking, He wasn't at applebees.
j/k. That really does suck. But There are plenty of cars out there that don't crankwalk. My economics teacher would say, "time to cut your sunk costs and move on."

Re: Well what a way to start off 2007
I was at applebees the one in rosemount, Kyle, andy and i were at my house playing games. (cod, and Halo)
I'm pretty sure Its time to move on the shells ugly needs paint, the motors shot, the onlything holding me from moving to a different set up besides money is the fact that I have so much into it if I start over I'll have to everything all over again. But a Vette or Supra would be my next car if I switched.

Yup, me too. Once you leave DSM's you realize they are just a stepping-stone to owning a real sports car.

I think you need a
But really there are other cars out there that can be just as fast and look just as good. Get an LSX american car and put your 67 on it. Make mad powah and, well I was going to say grow a mullet but I don't think that would work for you. Part it out.

Wow, that really sucks Brian! I'd also say it's time to cut your loss and move on to something that's not going to cause so much pain.

Re: Well what a way to start off 2007
Man that sucks. I wonder if it was more oil contamination/metal to metal contact, due to the fact that your motor really seems to like to puke oil.

Re: Well what a way to start off 2007
Nope its a supra or Vette for me. No evos... I really like the new C6's. But I did find a TTZ06 I like for the same price as the supras I'm looking at.
I thought about the stealth but with the tranny problems I'm seeing with swanny and the other black one I saw at BIR makes me hesitant.
I''m sure the oil that was getting into combustion chamber had something to do with it. It was sputtering like always, i'm thinking it just miss timed during a sputter and might have fired at on an up strock or something, I didn't have the laptop on to see if it was knocking and although it never knocked before I can't say it wasn't. But it is what it is, definetely has major rod knock. Sounds just like my old crankwalked 7bolt, kyle agreed with me.

Althought not a huge fan of either, I'd go Supra > 'Vette.

Vette. New, fairly reliable and fast stock. Supras and 3S's are the same as DSM's, you need to put money in to make them fun and then they're not reliable anymore. Plus they're old.

Re: Well what a way to start off 2007
Vette FTW. DSMs are definitely a stepping stone and its time for you to step on up. My vote goes towards GM V8 LS-Series, they are gods gift to ERF!!!
Whatever you do, good luck and if i can help in anyway i am there.
