Well I converted

several months ago I sold the last reminence of my Talon, hopefully the motor found it's way to a good home
but I'm probably not going to buy another one to much money, unless one falls into my lap.
instead I am in the process of buying a 2007 Scion tC, my wife already drives an 06 tC and she loves it. I'm kinda bummed about not having AWD anymore but they seem to be a pretty solid car. I've heard they can also make a decent amount of power but who knows.
anybody here heard anything good / bad about Scions?

Re: Well I converted

I have looked at those too, I kinda like the way the tC looks although it seems that alot of those wonderful "ricers" buy them and pretend to go fast, I also read somwhere that you can slap a 16g with a few supporting mods (even a stock dsm sidemount) you can run a whopping 5lbs

I know that roof in some of them rattles really bad. Other than that I haven't heard much bad about them.

Re: Well I converted

a brand new one with non of the "special options" goes for somthing like 17,680+/- you can add all sorts of goodies for more money (like a stock Super charger, fancy bodykit or an ipod radio) there are so many options for these things though which is kinda cool. and they did have an issue with the sunroofs shattering in like the 05 models but they said they "fixed it" in the new models

Re: Well I converted

Thats a lot of money for that car IMO. There are better options available for less $$$ such as the Civic, Mazda3, and Impreza 2.5i.

xB man all the freaking way FTW... But eh...them tC's don't look to bad. But I agree to much money for that kinda car. When Toyota wanted to make a cheaper car line.

Re: Well I converted

I work for a Toyota dealership and the tC is a nice car. Drives and handles quite nice in my experience. In the earlier models of the tC the sunroof was known to have some rattles after so long but is fixed now in the newer models. The price on them does range pretty high like $17,000+ depending on the package it has. I say get something else since the price you pay for something with only 160hp is a little much when you can easily find something better. But if you're really interested in it and want some more information I can help you out.

Re: Well I converted

The one thing that really bothers me about the TC is the fact its primarily a high schoolers car aimed directly at the ricer market.

Re: Well I converted

I just got my ex a brand new '07 Impreza 2.5i sedan with spoiler and a few other misc. options for $17, 109 after haggling. There are some leftover '06's going for even less.
