hi dsmtuners! Care to help me?
Finally got some cash to throw at the dsm. Do you guys know of any deals I can grab to get me closer to my goal 600awhp. Of course Shane will be doing the tunning for it when the time comes. Basicly a stock 2gb gsx with boltons as of right now.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Your goal of 600 awhp is kinda silly, How about setting a 300 awhp goal first. Start off with a turbo, fmic, injectors, fuel pump, exhaust and fuel control. That narrows the slight basics first.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Worst thread ever. Please before you post do some research, set a reasonable goal, get educated, and DO NOT just throw parts at the car thinking putting on a big turbo on a 7bolt will make you run 600hp.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Maybe u should get something else? If u can't take time to research your goals you probably don't have time to learn a decent amount about these cars to take care of them.
Search is your friend on many sites, not MNSC or streetracers.org.
DSM sites, talk, tuners, check out vendors recommended staged upgrades for a rough idea.
Basically don't be lazy and use your brain.

What do you have on the car now? What do you have purchased that you want to intall? Lastly, how much do you have to spend, we could help you pick out which parts would be the most effective for your money.
Otherwise, go to buschurracing.com and click 'add to cart' after the following items:
AEM EMS + Sensors
1600cc injectors
3" Turbo Back Exhaust
Race FMIC kit w/ big boy BOV
GT42R Turbo Kit
...and you'll be good to go! Oh wait, then you'll need a clutch, new brakes, some sort of decent fuel pump/fuel delivery system, and....well you get the idea...

Set a realistic goal and then we'll help you. 600 is possible, but it takes a lot of time, money, and knowledge; its not just tossing on some cheap parts.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
For 600 HP you are going to need more than just cash. You really need to either grow up or set a real goal and a big bottle of asprin. Did you run this pass shane. He can help you with a setup for your goal. To be honest you are going to need about 6K plus dollars to get that much HP if you want your dsm to live. I think you should look at breaking the 300 HP first to see how you like it. Breaking the 300 HP is not going to break your wallet.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Haha, it takes a lot more than $6k to get a well-setup 600 AWHP car! To go along with that much power, don't forget a new tranny and suspension setup it practically required to keep things semi-under control. I can go on and on, but you can't just bolt on 600 hp without drastically changing the rest of the car.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Give us a call and we can help you out, but as these guys are saying 600whp includes a built motor, large turbo, and supporting fuel/ecu modifications...

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Some people need to stop assuming everyone is a noob to cars just because they are a noob to the forum.
I thought about doing the step by step idea but that would be a waste of my money and I rather just shoot for the goal than buying a 14b then to a 16g then to a 18g then to a 20g and etc.... You see what I mean.... money wasted.
All I'm asking is for is advice and if you guys know of any deals or parts I can grab.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Read your original post, you come off very n00bish, the reason I say this is b/c anyone who has been around awhile and done some research on their own wouldn't ask something like this. None of us are trying to hate on you, we are just being honest. We want to help, but first the goals must be realistic for your level and budget, which you haven't as of yet specified.

I agree, 600 whp off the bat is not very realistic. 600 whp is also probably a hell of a lot faster than you realize. Shoot for 450 whp or so first. That is doable and still a damn fast car. How much money do you have to spend? It would make a big difference on what parts to get.

let's just say budget build best describes it since I want to spend as little as possible

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
What turbo can flow just enough air to support 600hp and not require me to rev past stock redline since I don't want to get stiffer valve springs.
What do you guys think about dsmlink and mapsensor setup?
If you guys know of or got stuff I'll be needing and it's not crazy priced then lmk.

Re: hi dsmers! Care to help me?
Hahahaha, 600hp with no headwork?!?! Come on kid, like we've all said above, get realistic. Stop talking about 600 hp, tell us how much you want to spend, and we'll tell you what your optimal setup will be. There is a lot more to building a fast car than just bolting cheap parts on.
