EVO X Pictures from MOD
Well today at Mitsubishi Owners Day the guys at Mitsu North america Decided to unveil the new Evo X.
I must say this car is fucking sweet. here are the picks.
The car has 4 (yes four) racing seats, 2 in front 2 in back. Rumor has it that they are not going with the 4g63 in this car, its going to be something else, i forget the engine code for it.
I took these pictures earlier today.

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
Here are some other notable pics.
Over 300 cars attended today, here is a pic of the lot filled, there were also 3 other lots, and the street also had cars on it.
The last pic is of a 2g with a silvia conversion. pretty cool.

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
Wtf...did they do to it? That ... does not look like an Evo anymore. Its trash...sorry I do NOT like this Evo X. Look at the years the Evo changed from...they all almost looked the same. This thing...ugh I can not even start at the damn front and then what ...ugh its ass.
On an other note...damn Mitsu must of listend to my thoughts. It would be smart to bring back the GSX. Now only if they do that for the 3000....

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
BTW if you look closely at the stat sheet on the eclipse, Yes, the 4G63 has finally come back to the eclipse.
It took place in Cypress, CA. me and a bunch of guys from Team-2g and all of the forums around Southern Cali went. it was crazy. It was at the Mitsu North America Headquarters.
This morning i drove to the initial Meetup spot, when i got there, smoke was pouring out of the hood, The spout on the top side of the radiator BROKE. I ran and got some JB Weld, put a bunch of that on there, and left the car at the meeting spot and rode with a friend to the show, (Pissed off that i didnt get to show my car) When i got back to Autobacs, i started filling it with water, and it started leaking so i jb welded it more and let it stand for 3 hours, then put the hose back on and tried to get her home. I got half way there and it broke again, I pulled into the next gas station i could find, called 411 to find a nearby radiator shop. Found one that was open, and they happened to have my radiator in stock. I had him deliver it to the gas station and with my trusty 10mm and 12mm i replaced the radiator in the parking lot. LOL

Yes I know that much there Tom. But what gets me is some of the parts are aftermarket. Like an...custom AEM intake and turbo back exhaust. That still does not stop making me have a smile. But if they were going to do that. They should of done the v6 TT over the i4. Then that means the Evo looks like It has more then a 2.0 under that hood. Maybe they took the v6 TT and droped it in.... Because I see no Front mount on it.

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
The interior is a liuttle odd, but it could grow on me.
And what is the point of putting a 4 cylinder (even one with the guts of the 4G63) in that heavy beast on an eclipse?

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
I think I might want one of those "EVO" cf hoods on my white GSX. Looks pretty good.
The "s" headlight conversion is sweet too, but not gonna happen on mine.

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
Uhhhh...that Evo still has four doors, it has two pedals, the interior looks like shit, and if its NOT a 4G63 then Mitsu failed HARD on this one because they dont have another good motor.
That better be a bad pipedream of a concept car.
The Eclipse isnt terrible but nobody's going to spend $35k+ on that bubble car.

Funny you should say that... Currently there was a "race" between shops to create a turbo kit for the 4g eclipse. at the show there was a kit from Greddy (wasn't complete) but the real kicker is that one of the vendors had the V6 with Twin Turbos. The vendor was D3 and the kit was called the D3 Titan Twin Turbo kit. the website for the company is www.DthreeDesigns.com

On pretty much every Concept known to man the interior looks nothing like it actually comes out as. Im pretty sure they will change that.

The 4g ralliart eclipse was at the auto show this year, but the one there was in red. It looked badass.

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
I think they both look sweet. I really don't like the interior, but other then that, they look pretty awesome!
I miss going out to RRE and seeing their rally/road race cars sitting outside. They always had some cool cars sitting in the parking lot. They are easily my favorite DSM shop around.

Re: EVO X Pictures from MOD
I like the exterior looks of both the X and the RaliArt. I am sure the X will get a much different interior before it actually goes into production...a manual transmission would be nice too. An article I read in Autoweek way back about the X said that the 4G63 was being replaced by a newly designed 2.0L so we'll see what happens. You'd think if they were designing a new engine they'd opt for a 2.5L to match the STi.
