The 2011 Lancer Ralliart will come with a 242hp (258 lb-ft of torque) turbocharged four-cylinder - up 5 horsepower from the 2010 version of the same 4B11 engine. The 2011 model will also have an optional 5 speed manual transmission as well as a TC-SST dual-clutch gearbox. Pricing for the manual transmission will start at $25,190, and the dual-clutch version will start at $26,590.

According to Mitsubishi the new 2011 Lancer Ralliart will also be 90 lbs lighter than the outgoing 2010 model. The biggest change from 2010 to 2011 will be better wheels and tires. The new Ralliart will come standard with 18 x 8.5-inch Enkei wheels (same as in the Evo GSR) that will carry 245/40R18 Yokohama ADVAN asymmetrical performance tires, a change from the mild 215mm Yokohama tires of the previous model year. The 2011 Ralliart will also gain slightly larger fenders in order to house the new bigger wheels and tires.

Mitsubishi says that the new Ralliart will have a .5 second quicker 0-60 time, giving the car a 0-60 in 5.4 seconds (2010 model did a 0-60 in 5.9 seconds). Considering that the $34,990 rally bred Lancer Evolution GSR does a 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, the new Ralliart looks pretty impressive.

Wow, it sounds like the 2011 ralliart is going to be way more bang-for-your-buck than the GSR, especially when you can make up the price difference with some mods.

whoa. not bad at all. I sometimes wonder about owning a Lancer Ralliart. Newer is better but we'll see. It looks good to me!
