Saw a guy die last night.

A corner visible from my house has always been bad for accidents, and last night it took a life. Guy in his 40's-50's was on a bike going around the corner and cut in too much, and impacted the front of an oldsmobile intrigue at around 50 or so, throwing him over the car and into a sign. Ambulance came, helicopter as well, but they didn't move him, and there were 5 people in the back of the ambulance for a good 20 minutes, than 4 people came out and 2 of them walked over to the girl in the car and talked to her. At that point she started balling, and could be heard 100 yards away.

The ambulance didn't leave for at least 5 hours after the accident, and there were 4-5 vehicles that came and went with family members(i'd assume) all walking from the ambulance crying.

Kinda reminds you of how fragile we all really are. Everyone on a bike, drive safe and hope it's no one anybody on here knows.

Re: Saw a guy die last night.

Is your name Josh ice?

But he did have a helmet on, ran into the car at about 50mph, went into the air, and landed while in flight face/head first into the pole by the sounds of things, than spun around to come to a rest on the pole.

Guy was the father of one of my mom's students in class today. He had no alcohol in him by the sounds of it, and wasn't driving recklessly.

As someone said on the side of the road last night, riding a bike is a time/luck equation. Eventually it runs out, and so do you.

I sure hope so, because that sure isn't anything to make a joke out of...that would be pretty fucked up.

Re: Saw a guy die last night.

I forget the girl's name right now, but i remember her bf's name was Josh, and i know his last name but don't feel like displaying it to the public. New facts were brought up today, sounds like she did pull part way into his lane, from what i saw the car was still on the right side of the road... but may not have been.

I wish the best to him and his family, and to the girl. I'd feel horrible after something like that, my fault or not.

Re: Saw a guy die last night.

Right, blame the clown who's trying to lighten the mood!

That being said, I really don't understand why every one of you isn't furious at the biker!

Seriously! His choice to be wreckless with his life has cost someone a son/brother/father. Now his family has to suffer because he was retarded and got his ass slammed.

Conservatively orientated Americans really need to understand to lighten up, and every one of you jokers would probably prefer that people laugh and have fun at your funerals.

Maybe it's just me, but I really do not understand where you are coming from.....From the sounds of it, he was just out for a cruise, behaving himself

And yea, maybe some of us would prefer our FAMILY and FRIENDS to laugh and have fun at our funerals, but oudsiders that don't even know us...that's a little bit different situation. I know if someone tried to make a joke out of the death of a friend or family member of mine, I would rip off their head and shit down their throat in about 1.2 seconds

I find it a little ironic that the guy with Death as his avatar is oversensitive about a joke.

Leave the fucking politics out of this shit. You made a classless joke, clearly did not read the postings of the person that was there and then claim you were just trying to lighten the mood. Grow up.

I came to that conclusion when he told me dsms are good dds and his car was the fastest thing on the road. His car had the blown motor at that time. He also told me vipers can't turn because he saw one flip over in the gumball.

Wow I thought you were referring to the guy on the 10 speed that got hit that same evening on the road that runs by the high school.

Re: Saw a guy die last night.

I lived on the other side of those curves this happened on from josh and those curves are notoriously bad. They are an S curve and its blind on both as the apex's are covered by dense trees and are a tighter radius. Ive almost got hit quite a few times by asshats who take that 45mph curve doing 70mph+ and come into the opposing lane. I remember a kid who took those turns doing 80+ in a truck, lost it, and rolled it numerous times before coming to a rest some 200+yds down the road on my neighbors second driveway after hitting the first one and going air borne. He's lucky no one died that night especially after his friend was ejected from the vehicle.

Thats too bad to hear the man lost his life. Josh you should PM me the last name, I wonder if I know the guy at all thru my dad.

Also, to make any joke about this is incredibly tasteless. Sounds like the man was being a normal rider, not doing 100mph thru the turns like some of the rice rockets that take that turn then the stretch past my dad's place, and it's unfortunate he was the one to lose his life.

Re: Saw a guy die last night.

THERE'S MORE!!!

Got another accident, this one landed in our front yard... and i slept though the whole thing, lol.

Pics of the aftermath, guy lost control going around the corner when his wheels hit dirt, over corrected and came flying into the neighbors yard before hitting our driveway approach and going airborne and landing in our yard. He walked away from the wreck, or more so ran. He had half a bottle of so-co he was working on and several empty beer cans, and a loaded shotgun in the cab of the vehicle.

Happened 2 days ago, just havn't got the pictures together till now.

What would one have to do to talk to the city about putting a stop sign on an intersection like that? I know there's been about 8 deaths that I/my fiance know about in town. And 6 of them since i've lived here have been on that corner. The other was just down the road at Ambassador and highway 47 and the other was just down 47 in "Downtown" Saint Francis.

Any ideas would be awesome, at this point i'm going to have ghosts in the house if we don't already... but that's another story.
