Ok just going over estimated figures for getting Jenny's car to where we were expecting it to be when we bought it. (with some upgrades/new stuff) And well surfice to say should have Saved and bought Nash's 2G. (plus I'm sure Jenny would have been in heavin considering she's wanted that car since she first met Andy)
I think my Total spent on my GS-T/GSX - with Mods, maintance, price of Car, etc.
Probably over the $75K mark now. or at least I'll be damn close after this next round of upgrades. And that's with taking off the money I've recieved back from parts I've sold.
Jenny's Car is going to be WWWWAAAYYYYYYYY!!! over what we expected with having to replace the tranny.
Hell I was hoping to have in the 11.0 range with the amount we've spent so far.

ps: sneeks up on you! Now I remember why I stopped keeping reciepts for my Car.

I think I've spent around $25K on my car, including purchase price. I did not deduct parts sold or include maintanence.
Wow, it's amazing when you actually think about it....is it really worth it? To me, yeah...it's been well worth it.

I should have bought a supra in hind sight. But I wouldn't trade some of the experience's I've had or some of the times I've had with people for anything.
so I guess that makes it PRICELESS.

11-12k with car, parts, tuning, labor etc.
break it down:
-4k for the car with a clutch install and tranny rebuild, and a free paint job someday when i want to give up my car for a month
-almost 6k on parts
-about 1k for dyno time, maintence, and things i cant recall.

About $6,000
Car - $1,000
Motor - $3,500
Other stuff - the rest of the money
As far as DSM's go, I've probably spent/financed about $30k all together. But I sold my car before I paid it off, so total cash out of pocket, including depreciation, is probably closer to $8,000 - $9,000. Credit cards suck. Never buy car parts with them. I'm still paying for the turbo, exhaust and tires that I had on my 2G, which I sold well over a year ago.

10,400-car
800-brakes
650-output shaft upgrade
500-oem clutch
22-2 sets of plugs
65-air filter
40- mbc
150-boost gauge/turbo timer
70-plug wires
total $ 12697 plus oil, gas, and insurance.
Beating a car that has 75k into it, priceless
Its like the saying goes, "how fast do you want to go today? How much do you have to spend?"
The goal is 10's with less than 20k into car, pump gas.

$3800 for the car with ACT 2600 with 71k miles, now at 112.5k miles.
$$$$ on timeslips and tickets
$400+$80 on 4 bolt rear
$1k...... in trannys.
$1k in "mods" I'd say.... including the stolen, re-bought stuff. Damn cars. Time is money so I'd say time I've wasted is priceless...hahaha, wait....

Hmmm, probably around $30K in parts and the car, I don't pay anything for my labor. :bounce:
For the other 47 DSM's I've had, I can't even guess. The good thing is that except for two of them, I've made a little profit on each.

I added it up a little while back and I had about $25k into it as of last fall. That is to copy it, none of this maintenance BS. It should be up to $32k - $35k come this summer :3gears:
My maintenance has been pretty minimal except for a crankwalked engine ($4200 for that whole ordeal). My first DSM I killed a head and I have rebuilt a tranny on my 2nd one. This is #4 and #5 for me and I think I am keeping them. Unless I find a good deal on a 1g that isn't red!
