Oil pressure from the head is lower, which can be a good or bad thing. Oil pressure from the oil filter housing can be insanely high, if you removed the balance shafts. Oil from the head is right at the end of the oiling system, so it isn't necessarily the cleanest oil you could be pumping into the turbo.
Garrett cartridge dual ball-bearing turbos don't require or like too much oil. Because they use less oil, they have to be watercooled to remove some of the heat from the center section. A lot of the DBB turbos come with a restrictor already built into the turbo, but with how high the oil pressure can get on a DSM at high RPMs, you probably should add another restrictor. FP sells a filter with a restrictor built into it for DBB turbos.
