Went back to Moroso tonight for there midnight madness event. (note to self remember never to go on friday nights regardless) and also brought along my new camera mount for the car so I got it on tape for you guys. My racing suit showed up but I didn't have time to burn up the 1/2 tank of pump gas in my car before hand.
Anyrate I only got 2 runs in in 4hrs. And the 2nd one I lost 2 of my damn turbo to exhaust manifold bolts. (didn't tighten them down after I warmed the car up when I replaced the gasket)
However I still was able to make 1 decent pass with my clutch stinking pretty badly throught first but felt like it held and I didn't shift into 4th when I should have cause I was used to going through the traps at 9K in 3rd gear so I stayed in 3rd longer then I should have, but still managed a new personal best.
Straight 25psi, 93oct, 1/2 gas. 10:08pm
R/T - .608
60' - 1.712
330 - 4.985
1/8 - 7.602
mph - 94.80
1000 - 9.820
1/4 - 11.715
mph - 114.81
my honest opinion is there is probably an 11.69 in her but that's about as far as she'll go on 93oct. I was seeing .7 counts of knock for a little bit in each gear but that's still not that much.
tomarrow if I'm not to tired I'll post the video and logs. (I have appointments every hour from 8 till 5pm tomarrow)

Nice run for pump gas. So a new clutch will be in the works then? South Bend can make a disk that will work with your ACT flywheel and 2600lb pressure plate if you like.

I have a quick question though. I was talking with the Tech at Moroso and he asked me what I run, I said mid to low 12's since I'm only running pump gas (that way I didn't have to worry about Tech) But this guy was a stickler and said that if I run faster then a 12.00 that I would get kicked out. (ie: he saw the Cage and Harness's) I said I thought it was 11.49 and faster you have to have a cage, etc. He said Nope that's for only Stock Cars, Any car running faster then 12.00 has to have a Roll Bar, at least 5 point harness's, and Jacket if your car is Modified.
I told him do you mean modified Chassis or what, he replied as soon as you take out a seat, Swap a Motor, etc your car is no longer Stock. He said you can do things like Exhaust, Fuel, in short bolt on's, but that's it.
I had him check my Harness's, but didn't say anything about not having a jacket.
So now my question is what's the deal is this guy wrong or what? I guess it doesn't really matter since I have the suit anyways (which fit's by the way) I have pictures and I'll put them up shortly for your guy's entertainment.

Hes an idiot.
A 5 point roll bar is required for 11.99 or 11.49 (pending tracks) and below down to a 10.99 et. After that point, you need a roll cage. That will be good to 8.5's if it is what we would call a "8" point. Our "10" point roll cages are good till 7.50 et's.
You also need the harness and other safety equipment.

I guess it doesn't really matter cause I've been getting through tech, but it would be nice to know that my car and myself are completely legal if I ever wanted to hit up any major event

Josh on the topic of cages does that mean I should have/need to have my welded in those last 2 bars of my cage to make it an 8 point?

Its more than the 2 bars. They need to go to somwhere structural. If your cage has bars that go in front of the driver (creating a cage for the drive to live in) then the "D" bars (they are called d bars as that is what bar they are in the manual or the rulebooks, bar #D) need to go to a frame. What this means is that there needs to be a frame constructed under your vehicle to tie the roll cage bars together. Johns car is going to have an "inner" and "outer" frame, but we are going to have it certified for a 7.50 ET (bit more comprehensive).

A 5-point roll bar is fine down to 10.0 with our cars in NHRA. He could kick you out for not having a scattershield at 11.99.
