Alright Miss-understanding from the article on the mounting of the engine because it was talking about the opposite mounting of the new mivec evo 9 engine compared to the common 4g63(found in our cars) which is mounted opposite to that. I was assuming including evo8 but after further reading I admit I was wrong.

As for the mivec vtec comment.. I was reffering to his thing about a v-tec like mivec head and how if that happened there would be jokes about the mivec just like there is about the v-tec and I was saying that the mivec head is better then this v-tec crap.

Do you know how they respectively work? Didn't think so, keep your mouth shut unless you have actual facts to back it up.

Well it seems that I am typing so my mouth can be shut.
Anyway, Personal opinion doesnt need facts does it now? Thats all I have to say.

Personal opinion does not need fact you are correct, but your statement was worded as fact wherein the problem lies. If you are going to make such a strong statement, no matter what it is regarding, you better be able to back it up with fact or at least strong theory. Have you used both? Do you have experience with both? Do you know the technical aspects of each? How do they differ? How are the similar? Step up to the plate and show me you know what you're talking about.

VTEC is better than MIVEC, VVT-I, VTC, etc. VTEC is like put in some Crane Stage 10 cams. MIVEC and VVT-I are like putting on cam gears. What do cam gears do? Not too much. I know it isn't as simple as that... Now Honda has iVTEC which does both. I wish Mitsu would come out with a variable lift system, instead of just a variable cam timing system.

Ok Honda is better then Mitsu. If they are different systems and do different things then how can you compare em? Anyway I have used v-tech when messing with my friends old turbo civic. He also had a v-tec computer to make it kick in at like 2500 instead of 4500 or w/e it does. It was nice and with a no lag turbo setup it hauled. My other buddy who has a evo9 mivec that lives in cali next to my moms house has upgrades in it. He has cams, cam gears, new manifolds, full exhaust, new ic piping, 20g, intake, and other expensive shit you can find on a rich cali kid father bought car. He showed me stuff he could do with the mivec for some pretty good gains with his setup. The v-tec all we could do is put in this compute so it got him that lil hp gain. Anyway im not familiar with either but from what ive seen of both the mivec seemed more tunable with some controller he had when tuning threw his laptop. I don't know tuning for shit, I dont know pretty much anything about either since I am new to DSM and never honda. I was nissan and they didnt have either. I'll shut up now about this topic but the 2 door statement is true i made earlier.

You don't have to tune VTEC. Lowering it to 2500 would only make it lose HP. You want the VTEC crossover at the optimal point for the most power under the curve. With it set perfect, you should not feel it engage at all.

Thanks for that knowledge. He blew up his civic so I can't really tell him that now. He now drives a srt-4 ACR :(
