I just checked, and SLS's 2G kit is only $700 and that includes everything you need.

Wow, kinda looks like the same FMIC as that Ebay one for $210?

Hmmm.....?

Thanks much for the info!

So it looks like the FMIC wins over a Supra sidemount then?

Ok so what do you all think of getting this used Apexi front mount core with tanks for $300.00, any major issues with mounting/piping a Apexi?

TIA.....

Howie

What turbp you plan on using? If you stay with the 16g, the supra will be fine. I used a supra ic on my talon with a 20g and I don't think I was heating it too much. I only ran 19psi pump also though. I thought is was a pretty easy install but I guess some have had issues. All that needs to be done with it is to make the top ic pipe hole bigger. You could also go with the big greddy FMIC kits. THey go for pretty cheap used. I got my whole kit for $400 and it was in good shape. It is the long route piping but it will be easier to install. It took me a few hours to put mine on.

I agree with Chris, I don't think you can go wrong with the SLS kit for that cheap. I didn't realise they were so cheap now!

I like how the big GReddy kit looks, and it should be really easy to install. If you can find a used one for $400 like stated above go that route, otherwise that SLS is looking good.

Ya know, there are so damn many FMIC kits out there that it really makes choosing hard, obviously. The SLS kits look good, but so does the SBR/Kinetic kit, as well as the Dv/Dt, but then there's the Buschur kit. What about the JR cores on eBay and fabbing your own piping? JR's cores have been receiving great reviews by people. It's all where you want to spend your $$$....

Check this "total complete install kit" for 1 OR 2 G's for $480.00 off "tunerz" here:

Unless it's a total piece of crap, you can't go wrong you'd think???

That is a fairly cheap looking kit to me plus doesn't even including piping all the way to the throttle body. I'd spend the extra $220 for the SLS kit since with that cheap one you'd still need to buy a hard UICP.

But I already have a hard UICP!

Guess the REAL advantage of going with SLS, in my case, is their reputation of not selling crap!

I did not know that. That cheap core/kit from Toonerz should be fine for a 16G. Just remember to get a J-pipe with a 90* bend towards the driver's side at the bottom to connect with that lower piping.
