So John Shepard could gain what by switching to a 2g sensor setup?

Point is, it's plastic, often gets damaged in a timing belt, is not adjustable and requires removal of the front half of the motor to access. And I've never heard of any 2g owners complaing that they switched. But it's up to the owner I guess....

He could gain a more true ignition timing signal, but it doesn't matter that much with his AEM EMS anyways since you can try to keep it synced throughout the RPMs by using the Pickup Comp Delay option.

There are problems with doing the 1G CAS on 2Gs though. A lot of 2G owners have problems with the random misfire error when they switch to a 1G CAS.
