Honestly if you have to get a new motor now, you would be wasting money just tossing in a stock one with plans to build another later. Do it once.

I agree totally. If you are short on cash now, why waste $$$ on an engine you don't plan on keeping.

k, im going to have the shop check the plugs tomorrow when they open. What are the odds that it's just the plugs ?
