Yea only 1 of 5 (exterior) widebody conversion pieces needs replaced, prob easier to keep stock. Sell for profit later and get that z06! Nice pick up, bet it was a steal at auction.

Very nice on it being a Z51! Z06 shocks and swaybars are a direct bolt-on as well, and pretty dang cheap from RockAuto. The navi, HUD, and upgraded armrest are nice little bonuses too. My dad got the 2013 navi update disc for his 2006 and it made a nice improvement vs. the original maps. Looks like V.2016 is out for the C6 now: http://gmnavdisc.navigation.com/product/Catalog/Catalog_Chevrolet_Corvette_2009/GM-North-America-Map-Update-v.2016/sku/23286274/en_US/GMNA/USD

It actually has a JVC headunit with the latest stuff like bluetooth, Pandora, etc. JVC is not my favorite, but it actually works well so far and I can easily throw an amp and sub in since it needs some oomph. I might throw an Alpine in it since they still make really nice units.
It also has the NPP exhaust which I love. I'm guessing they pulled the fuse, because its on straight pipes all the time. I'll have to see what it sounds like outside the garage. It's loud AF inside.

It might also have the mild-to-wild toggle switch hidden somewhere.

True, it does have a few tasteful mods, and a lot of ugly non-factory badging.

If you dont see the remote for mild to wild, try the homelink keys on the visor, thats how mine are programmed.
Factory nav is pretty crappy, so is the bose system in mine. lol Debated upgrading but engine sounds are good enough!

Yeah, V8 soundz are intoxicating. Wife is already excited for a ride as well, I don't think she ever wanted to go in the GSX.

I've been doing a few things like putting on the back bumper and tail lights, apparently, after the accident, it was gone through at a body shop so all the screws, bolts and tabs were all in the car. That was a real bonus as those stupid things are spendy at the dealer.
Last night I tackled the first fiberglass project. The inner wheel well was damaged and I'm using all OEM parts, but that piece was almost $800 with shipping and required a bunch of extra work, so I'm rebuilding it instead. Most of it was already there, so it's just repairing a few small spots and strengthening some cracks. The new headlight arrived yesterday, so I needed to get this mounting bracket put together.

Made some progress over the last few weeks, things are going a little slow with the shoulder surgery but getting back to normal quickly.
Got the knuckle and upper control arm from Suburban Chevy installed and the fender splash shield all fiberglassed so it's ready to drive. Got the title yesterday, got new plates at the DMV and took it for its maiden street voyage today. All I can say is I'm completely hooked! Seat of the pants, it feels just as fast as the GSX ever did but it drives just like a normal stock car. Definitely needs trans tuning though.
Found the NPP fuse was pulled, so trying both modes to see which one I like. I'm definitely going to install a Mild2Wild switch, but it's too simple to buy one, I'll just hardwire my own instead.
