I don't think they needed to destroy the definition of marriage to do it, because it is the bonding of a man and a woman, has always been the bonding of a man and a woman, but there's a bigger issue here. And it's already starting to show itself because here comes the pedophiles,..... Because they deserve "the same happiness you have".
Didn't take long at all:

It is a very slippery slope...once you start making changes it's tough to stop that rolling ball of progress.

Yep.

But the slipperiest slope of all,..... the fact that 9 unelected lawyers can write/rewrite legislation from the bench unchecked, unhindered by the Constitution they swore to uphold. And that's the worst part of it all.

There is nothing in the Constitution or Bill of Rights that gives the SCOTUS the power to do what they did.

SCOTUS didn't do anything that Congress couldn't undo if the people demanded it. Congress has the power to write legislation as well as amend the Constitution, if they have the backing of the people. The system of check and balances is still in effect. The country just has enough people in favor of same sex marriage that it is unlikely.

And it was the due process clause that gave SCOTUS the power to do what they did...

You need to brush up on your Separation of Powers. The SCOTUS doesn't have the power to do what it did.

The same thing was said about homosexual marriages mere decades ago... It's not so crazy when you look at how quickly things have already progressed post-WWII era. What was considered to be extreme/crazy/illegal back then is now normal and common place (don't take this the wrong way, I am my no means saying its all bad). Who knows where this country will be in another 50 years. It's not like the ball of progress is going to stop just because gay marriage is legal and the Confederate flag is banned; it's just now starting to really pick up steam :)

It's that damn rock-n-roll I tell ya!

Slippery slope, hardly. No you wont see pedophiles getting rights to marry, based on pedophilia being illegal, homosexuality is not illegal and therefore makes it ok to give rights to.
And who the hell cares about the definition of marriage? Does it really affect your marriage by redefining it? no, no it doesnt.
