I'm back on board with calling the cops, don't tell them anything about the verbal agreement. This kid needs a wake-up call :(

I agree. I mentioned giving him a 24 heads up to make it right before you got the authorities involved, but I didn't realize he was parting it out on you. He's had all the time in the world to sell your parts and shell, pocket the cash, and blow you off. Once the chassis is gone he's effectively off the hook and he knows it.
Cops, now.

no offense, but ITS HARD to help you also. obviously this dude is a dbag, but who gives someone a car for a year and rolls over on it instead of getting this thing taken care of 364 days ago? you unfortunately can't trust just anyone these days, and I've found out the hard way on this sort of thing. was supposed to trade a guitar amp to a soldier stationed overseas. i sent mine and never saw shit back. can you say f0cked…. sorry bud, but shot or get off the pot on this one. maybe too late already

^You can take legal action thru the military. .
If you know his unit address you can address a letter to the commander explaining the situation and they will sort it out.

They were texting last night. Pretty much if Fransco take this down the dbag will pay him. At this point even paying will not help him out.

^ I'd tell the thief to pay up first and then go fuck himself. Take down the thread before paying up? That might be the stupidest request I've heard in a long time.

And if he doesn't take it down then what, he admittedly won't pay for it? Save those texts for court.
Good finds Goodhart. I love young-ins and their social media. It's funny how some don't realize putting stuff on the internet is permanent and will come back to bite you in the ass someday! "Hmm I'm going to steal this car, then post it up for sale on my FB page, I don't see anything wrong with this plan".
