I was jealous of your Civic. I personally would rock another econobox if I were you. Civic, Elantra... What do RSX/TSX's run now a days?
I loved it totally for a while, but being that uncomfortable sucks and still having issues merging onto the highway sucks.
at this point I'd give up some mpgs for power. It does make me smiles when I fill up though.
I'm going to drive a couple of accords 4 & 6 cyl, and a few maximas and see what I think.
Bah, I'm looking at econo boxes again. I forgot that is the point of this car, is too keep forever and get good MPG. Plus i want it to be a backup down teh road.

I hear ya, gotta find a good balance for what you are wanting. I like Maxima's nice cars, you must be hanging around Paul too much :) Just think you're going to take a huge hit on mpg. Bigger engine, heavier. There's so many options out there it's hard to suggest a couple. WHen I was getting out of the military, my goal was to pick up an affordable daily driver that was a balance of cost, mpg, roomy, comfort, not a rusty pos. I ended up with that green Galant and it did me well.
Mazda3 is always an option, good handling and pretty reliable.

How about a newer Tampontiac? A friend of mine has an '05 grand prix gt and gets 26mpgs on the freeway. Plenty of space, more then enough power to scoot from place to place.

That honda on White bears site seems decent, lower miles too. Check it out brown.

My vote would go for the Maxima. Those were in my view before I had the GVR4. They had good power, especially the ones with the VQ35 engine, and decent gas mileage. Accords are damn smooth though. It's a tough decision. That or get a Acura TL if they're not too pricey.
