My employer pays 0.00 for me to be covered. Because i am not. So therefore actually yes i do know how much it costs as i am self employed (SubContractor)

And you think the price will go down and quality will go up once the goverment gets involved?

You may think I'm a bastard for thinking that way, but I'm tired of people trying to get things "just because someone else has it" without having to work for or make sacrifices like the rest do. There will always be a company that will insure you no matter what. You'll just have to pay a huge amount of money to get it. But it is out there. It might not be affordable, but it is there.
I agree, but this administration is all about equality of wealth and giving handouts, yet people like Tom think it's a good idea. Don't forget who actually owns GM and a bunch of banks right now.

Well, I don't take the all-or-none stance on this issue. I am a compassionate person and with seeing the lifespan and quality of life so poor with those at the 'bottom', and also seeing our middle class shrinking to nothing, I think it is important to make sure people can at least get healthcare if they work for it (and pay for it). If that makes any sense. I don't think they should get a handout, but I think it should be attainable and the gov't should legislate to make that happen.

I personally believe that massive corporations are killing our economy and the general well-being of our country, so I dont like huge health insurance companies, among other giant corps... but that is another issue.

Well, that's what will all be left once a lot of smaller businesses go out of business. Better get used to it.

The resources available to the world from large companies are so great that no amount of small companies would ever be able to make up for it. Look around you at what we use every day and who makes them. If it weren't for those companies we'd be many many years behind where we are now.
