they work great and are cheap as hell why not. Its the second car ive done like that

They are awesome indeed. Sucks unscrewing the stock panels where these just pop off.

Put my Konigs on her with the tires I picked up from Andy. They fit, but just barely. Look great though:

Still daily driving the thing to work and school. Replaced the fuel pump today with the evo 9 pump I received from scheides. All the studs were broke so we busted out the sheet metal screws to hold it down in true winter beater fashion. lol

With taxes on their way in about a week, I'm tore between just putting the money aside for later or do the timing belt components, water pump, valve seals and other small things. I for sure know I'm going to do a full turbo back exhaust. I guess my thinking is if this motor smashes the valves I can then focus on getting the good parts and motor transferred from my Laser.

Still thinking about it. I do like the 91 as a daily driver, I'd like to keep it that way instead of stripping it down.

My plans are focusing on the 91 now. That's going to be the new project car for me. I already swapped most of the laser's interior:

Also rocking the Laser's night-shaded tails:

I'll more than likely make a new thread since the car is being upgraded from winter-beater status to weekend warrior.

Twack came down Saturday night with a propane heater and an equalizer for the engine hoist I borrowed from a friend and we got to work. Pulled the motor out of my Laser:

Just pulled the Talon in the garage at about 1am:

...and got the 91 Talon stripped down to just pulling the axles and lifting the motor and trans out by 3:30 am:

After this point Travis gave into my whining so we went inside to eat and then catch some Z's. Had a slow start to the morning today, but we were out there wrenchin' at about 12:30. Had the motor and trans out by 2:

Now I have two motors taking up space in my shack:

So these brake rotors are stuck. Like, REALLY stuck:

So are the jam nuts on the outer tie-rods. Anybody have a good idea on a way to hold the rod from spinning so I can break the nut loose? Yes, I've tried vice-grips.

I usually put a jack up under the outer tie rod end so it keeps pressure on it. That usually works for me. As far as the rotor have you tried hitting the hat with a decent sized hammer? Just try not to hit the wheel studs.

It looks like he took the air hammer to it already.

Kind of. More like a hammer and screwdriver. If it's not off tomorrow I'll have to cut it.

I got's dual pistons, yo.
