This is fantastic news, one of the biggest drawbacks of megasquirt is that you have to create your own wiring harness or tap into the existing harness (messy)

Now, you can have all the Megasquirt goodness in an ecu that plugs right in, all for $460

Taken from the website:

OEM ECU Connector to plug right into the factory harness!
Speed Density, Alpha-N and Hybrid Alpha-N (both SD and A-N algorithms hybridized) Supported
2 Ignition Inputs (for dual wheel ignitions)
4 Spark Outputs (Up to 4 Cylinder Coil On Plug, up to 8 Cylinder Wasted Spark)
Rotary Ignition Support
Enhanced Acceleration Enrichment (EAE)
Boost Control
Knock Control
Launch Control
Flat Shift
Tachometer Output
Fully Adjustable Rev Limiter
Table Switching
4 General PurposeOutputs
4 General Purpose Inputs (2 analog, 2 digital)
Support for Flex Fuel
Optional Realtime Baro Correction
Closed Loop O2 Correction
Plenty of Proto Area, add your own customizations!

I have been kicking around the idea of MS for my Chevelle

Nice! I've been using this on a local project car lately with pretty good success doing a pure alpha-n setup. (Birkin with a ztec motor with ITB's, not a dsm).

Anyone want to buy 2g dsmlink V3?

That would be a downgrade.

That would be a downgrade.

I agree! The dsmlink setup is the sweetest thing to happen to the DSM's since the 16g turbo. I just like that they are starting to introduce plug and play setups ,takes a lot of the install mistakes away.

That would be a downgrade.

Ecoli, I respect your expertise in DSMs, but how can you say Megasquirt is a downgrade?

Flexfuel (great for mixing E70/E85)
Direct COP
Direct injector control (not batch)
Speed density (wayyyyy superior to any "airflow meter")
Wideband controller talks directly with megasquirt, no "simulated narrowband output" needed

As soon as I saw the 2D timing tables on ECMLink, I put down the laptop and haven't looked at ECM link since.

Maybe I'm not giving ECMlink a fighting change, but seriously, side by side, Megasquirt outperforms ECMLink in every department
tons of room to prototype new technology on the ecu (look at the proto area)

Well, most of us know how to tune speed density tables (far superior IMHO), I think DSMLink will work for joesushi, but he needs to have it tuned....anyone up for the task?

I don't know if its out yet I don't frequent the link forums very much but they coming out with an update for v3 to run speed density
