Well I had to stop by MAP to pick up a new T3 gasket, and lil brown had an extra bolt on hand, so I just grabbed it since I was already there. So I'm not going to need yours Scheides. Thanks for offering though, I'll grab it in a couple months when it breaks again and I lose another one :)

Well, got the last cam bolt on and torqued. Put the VC back on. Put the spark plugs in and plug wires, mounted the coil pack and got it plugged in. Going to leave the Arc-2 disconnected for a little while until the car is running ok on it's own. Just don't want to do too many things at once.
Got that T3 gasket from MAP so put the turbo/manifold together. I ripped off all the wrap because it was all coming apart. It's like the heat wrap couldn't take the heat. It all literally just fell off the manifold as I started removing it. Lame. But I did it because I was having my overheating issues, and the new FMIC seemed to cure it mostly so I guess I don't need it anyway.
I've been having issues with the stupid turbo bolts constantly backing out. I think I have finally fixed that issue, see the pictures below :)

Heh yea I have a whole spare head just sitting in my garage so I was gonna steal the bolt out of it. You're welcome to any parts of it you need, its doing nothing for me :D Nice safety wire job!

If I'm not mistaken that safety wire is an old military trick right?

Yeah the military is where I originally learned to do it. It's pretty common practice in the air wing. Also in the nuclear field, we have to safety wire or loctite everything that will ever travel anywhere near the core. So I've done my fair share of safety wiring for the past 7 years. It's now just finally found it's way onto my car :D

Chris from Dogbox called me today. Said he got the busted axle out, and found nothing else wrong with the tranny. He's going to swap in a known good VC just for good measure, and said he'll be shipping it back in the next day or 2. :)
